How often do you receive/make breakfast in bed

Hello

How often do you make you partner breakfast in bed and vice versa?

I ask because I make it for my partner 5/6 times a week. Quick bowl of cereal most days with coffee, nothing extravagant but it’s always served to him in bed and I’m beginning to get annoyed that he’s becoming spoiled.

For context, he works nightshift and gets in around 6:00 and is back up for noon which is when he likes to have his breakfast in bed and just relax a little before starting his day.

Am I being too harsh or is he just acting entitled?

Never, I hate food in the bedroom. We also don’t make one another breakfast unless it’s the weekend and we are having the same thing.

Never both ways. I hate food crumbs or food smells in the bedroom

Coffeeonmytoffee · 25/08/2021 19:29

Never and never.

Never! I hate food in bed, it’s banned. If theres a single crumb in bed, you can guarantee I’d feel it. My husband calls me princess and the pea.

Wouldn't eat food upstairs. DH will often bring me a hot drink as I'm getting ready in the morning though.

Toodlydoo · 26/08/2021 16:19

Never but that’s probably because I don’t eat breakfast and my DH wouldn’t eat in bed. But used to bring DH cup of coffee in the morning (was making one for myself too) becauSe I was up before him and on weekends he would get second round in. No-one is making anything for anyone since we had dc no time.

If he’s not doing anything similar for you I really wouldn’t bother.

Never as neither of us even has the opportunity to lie in with night shifts, school runs and work

mamaduckbone · 26/08/2021 17:07

A few times when the dcs were little on Mother's Day / Father's Day / birthdays until I admitted that I actually hate it...crumbs in the bed, yuk.
Dh does bring me a coffee in bed nearly every morning though, and I return the favour maybe once a month if he's lucky! I just don't get moving as fast as him. (Early bird/night owl!)

I don't have toast etc so I don’t get crumbs in my bed.

firstimemamma · 26/08/2021 18:35

Dh hates breakfast in bed so I never make it. He does it for me whenever it's mothers' day as ds is only little and maybe again on my birthday.

Crunchymum · 26/08/2021 19:30

Never, either way, in 14 years. Maybe the odd cuppa but even that is rare.

Never with any prior partners either. It just isn't for me.

Nobody likes crumbs in their bed. You can change the sheets you know Wink
