How often do you receive/make breakfast in bed

How often do you make you partner breakfast in bed and vice versa?

I ask because I make it for my partner 5/6 times a week. Quick bowl of cereal most days with coffee, nothing extravagant but it’s always served to him in bed and I’m beginning to get annoyed that he’s becoming spoiled.

For context, he works nightshift and gets in around 6:00 and is back up for noon which is when he likes to have his breakfast in bed and just relax a little before starting his day.

Am I being too harsh or is he just acting entitled?

Dh brings me a cuppa every morning. He likes to get up immediately so I don't do it for him unless we're on holiday.

Only ever if I've been a hospital inpatient.

But done it once for husband and never otherwise.

Never, not even a cup of tea or coffee. We eat and drink at the table

My hubby makes me a brew and brings it to me in bed every weekday morning (to clarify he WFH and makes himself one ready to start work so he just makes two and our bedroom is next to his office so he says it’s no big deal and he genuinely doesn’t mind, I don’t demand one) he never brings me breakfast though - I’m thinking I should now demand it

Breakfast in bed is not a treat for me (can't be doing with it) - so never

We make each other drinks, whoever is up first.
I don't like breakfast in bed. It's uncomfortable and you get crumbs.

Never. Im never in bed so late to eat it. Plus, he doesn’t drink tea/coffee so cant make a nice cuppa

I don't like to eat first thing in the morning so breakfast in bed doesn't appeal. When I was pregnant and has morning sickness DH would bring me a piece of toast first thing because I struggled to move without it. DH isn't bothered either so not something we do either way. Having said that, if one of us is having a rare lie in the other would usually take them a cup of tea in bed.

Your DH is definitely spoilt, which is fine if things are balanced overall and you are happy with it, but otherwise not so much.

I never make DH breakfast in bed though i'd take him food if he was ill. Occasionally he'll bring me coffee if he's up first.

Bed is for sleeping and sex. The dining table is for eating!

That's a bit vanilla. Some people use the dining table for sex too... Still wouldn't eat breakfast in bed though

Since he’s been WFH DH has a few times appeared with a sausage and egg McMuffin. God I’ll miss him when he goes back to the office 😂

In terms of actually making breakfast. Never.

Never, both ways

We take it in turns at the weekend and if one is up and about earlier another time then too. Whoever is up first in the morning makes tea and empties dishwasher, breakfast comes a bit later!

@SarahBop - It was the way my mother brought me up! She would polish the table so much you would slip off! 😂

Never either way, Dh works weekends and will ask if I want a coffee before he leaves and always tell him to leave it downstairs and get up to get it.

Are you awake when he gets in at 6am? Could you ask him to start bringing you a cuppa each day?

We never have food in bed and if DH brought it in I would probably take it downstairs to eat

We bring coffee up if we are having a lazy morning. I don't really like food in bed though.

I don't like good in bed.

Every day I make my breakfast and take it back to eat in bed. DH doesn't eat breakfast so I don't make him anything.

Never. I hate eating in bed. It makes a mess and is really uncomfortable.

Not something I have ever wanted for myself or done for anyone else. I don't want breakfast until I am showered and dressed. I used to make a cup of tea for my parents but that's it.

Never. I’ve never even considered eating in bed, sounds horrible.

I make my husband breakfast maybe once every few weeks if we have a hot breakfast. I would never make him cereal, he’s more than capable of doing it himself
