What are your plans this Saturday morning?

Just that really. Looking for inspiration. No plans for tomorrow until 2pm and don't want another Saturday morning to roll by with boring housework, shopping type chores whilst kids are glued to screens. Weather not looking great but might get out for a country walk with the kids but open to new ideas. What are you all planning to do?

Woodland play area, get there early. Leave play area before its crowded and walk in the woods. Home for lunch.

Bookaholic73 · 20/08/2021 19:02

No idea yet, just see what I fancy doing to be honest. I’ll have a lie in til 8.30 hopefully.
Maybe some housework, have a shower…the usual.
Maybe a nice long walk too.

parkrun
It's always the best thing to do on a Saturday morning. Even if you don't run, you can walk, or run/walk.

writingsonthewall · 20/08/2021 19:03

And to add the kids could/should do it too. Assuming over 4, get yourselves all registered, find your local one and show up just before 9

Picking up our new puppy which really doesn’t help you at all

hemhem · 20/08/2021 19:20

I'll be baking a cake then going for a bike ride with DD (its her birthday tomorrow!)

StCharlotte · 20/08/2021 19:21

Pedicure and eyebrow treatment in preparation for a wedding in the week. Got a knackered knee at the moment so won't be rushing around tomorrow.

Smile3 · 20/08/2021 19:21

Weather rubbish but getting a early dart to the woods taking picnic and flask I'm hoping the trees will shield us Grin

StarttoFinish · 20/08/2021 19:37

parkrun. Of course.

MirandaWest · 20/08/2021 19:39

Parkrun - I’m running and DD is volunteering

BearPear · 20/08/2021 19:40

I’m having a hysteroscopy, so I’ll swap with one of you!

fitzbilly · 20/08/2021 19:40

Run 11 miles. Volunteer at parkrun. Take the boys paddle boarding. That will take me till lunchtime!

drspouse · 20/08/2021 19:43

On our way to holiday cottage: but first stopping at a supermarket to buy toothbrushes for the DCs that DH forgot (we're at a hotel overnight).

underneaththeash · 20/08/2021 19:44

We’re going to Puy du Fou!!

emummy · 20/08/2021 19:47

Run then marshal at parkrun, DS is becoming famous for his enthusiastic encouragement of the runners!

Mousetown · 20/08/2021 19:50

Parkrun followed by breakfast with friends.

Honeybadger01 · 20/08/2021 19:52

Swimming at the local lake then brunch at home before driving to a hotel for a weekend of family wedding celebrations with lots of people we love.

SorrelForbes · 20/08/2021 19:54

@underneaththeash - a fab and very bonkers place to go!

I am sooo jealous, we need a pic.
ApplesAreTheBaneOfMyLife · 20/08/2021 19:57

Having a rug delivered
Clearing the floor in ds2’s bedroom to make space for the rug
Dog walks in the rain
Ironing

Guess that’s not going to provide the inspiration you were hoping for!

LizziesTwin · 20/08/2021 19:57

Park run

Camomila · 20/08/2021 20:00

Saturday morning is our designated boring morning so we have time/energy to do everything else we want to do at the weekend.

DH does the big supermarket shop with the toddler, DS1 gets videogame time and I do housework - then it's all out of the way by lunchtime.

Sorry no help to you though! We're meeting friends at a farm park on Sunday which is more fun.

Lyricallie · 20/08/2021 20:01

Helping with local community garden, harvesting, weeding, tidying etc. Getting my nails done then going out for dinner with my friends.

cleanasawhistle · 20/08/2021 20:03
