What are your plans this Saturday morning?

Just that really. Looking for inspiration. No plans for tomorrow until 2pm and don't want another Saturday morning to roll by with boring housework, shopping type chores whilst kids are glued to screens. Weather not looking great but might get out for a country walk with the kids but open to new ideas. What are you all planning to do?

Gym for when it opens at 7am. Dh is going to work so I'll go straight home to the dc and wait in for the food shopping to be delivered. Need to fold some washing and might have a nap whilst the dc argue Grin

Lola001 · 20/08/2021 20:58

My pret subscription and a good book is off down the High Street for a few hours :-)

imnottoofussed · 20/08/2021 20:59

Cinema, lunch, bit of shopping (returning/exchanging stuff I bought last weekend)

StarryStarrySocks · 20/08/2021 21:00

Sleep!

AnnaSW1 · 20/08/2021 21:01

Clark's for school shoes and then a trip to Smiggle, then lunch and home for Disney + and cookie making.

Hellocatshome · 20/08/2021 21:03

Clark's for school shoes and then a trip to Smiggle,

Someone must have robbed a bank Grin

I have to tidy away sewing materials so I can recreate my office (after doing another repair of DD's uniform sports fleece!!) ahead of going back to (WFH) the office on Monday after 6 weeks off. Feels like I've done nothing.

I also need to do a full restock food shop, including buying chicken and mince for a batch cooking session on Sunday while DH and DD are away at a hockey match.

I do plan to finally watch the 2nd last HP movie tomorrow night though (our dvds are too dark to see the action but it's on tv and I've booked it).

And if the weather was not a yellow rain warning tomorrow, I might have got out for a proper long walk - although I might just go for a swim in the sea as the rain will reduce crowds.

DuesToTheDirt · 20/08/2021 21:04

Photography exhibition.

dementedma · 20/08/2021 21:05

Well done to all the Parkrunners but seriously cant think of anything worse to be doing at that time in the morning!
Lie in, some shopping, planting a rosebush in my mothers garden for her....and after that sweet FA until back to work on Monday morning.

Samii89 · 20/08/2021 21:09

@BiddyPop Harry potter is on sunday :) x

Jasmine11 · 20/08/2021 21:17

Packing up our tent and leaving the campsite 🏕

BiddyPop · 20/08/2021 21:20

Ooh - what channel @Samii89 ? (I was going for deathly hallows part 1 on RTÉ - happy to have another option!!)

Ohmych · 20/08/2021 21:22

I'm so jealous of all your lovely mornings planned. I will be in work at 5.30am.

newmumfeb21 · 20/08/2021 21:28

What lovely Saturdays you all have planned, other than those of you who have to work - sorry.

I will be up with baby DS - hoping for a better night than the ones I've posted about recently (!) Plan to spend the morning drinking tea and eating pastries and sorting the laundry mountain whilst he rolls about on the activity mat / chews books and my hair / bashes building blocks. Trying not to wish the years away so I can have a lie in once again Smile

@RosieLemonadeAndSugar, hope you have a wonderful day and congratulations!

newmumfeb21 · 20/08/2021 21:30

**lukewarm tea with excessive amounts of milk and sugar, incidentally

mamaduckbone · 20/08/2021 21:32

I'm aiming to get out for a run before the rain sets in, then making a cake to deliver to a friend whose son (my ds's best friend) has just tested positive for covid. Dh will do the food shop although he is making noises about going for a bike ride. A friend is coming round to witness us signing house contracts so they can be posted back to solicitor - eek!
More box packing for the rest of the day for house move, and I'm going to make the dcs try all their school uniform on to make sure I haven't forgotten to replace anything.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 20/08/2021 21:33

No DC so Saturday is always a long lie, and a bacon sandwich in bed. Hopefully DP will get up early with the cat! The forecast is for rain all weekend so I went to M&S today and bought loads of nice food just in case we don’t end up leaving the house. I’ll probably have a long bath and read my book.

ABCDEF1234 · 20/08/2021 21:46

Swimming, horseriding, then off to the coast for a day out

R00tat00tt00t · 20/08/2021 21:47

Wow, didn't expect to get so many responses! So many lovely plans for your Saturdays...park runs, walks, lie-in's, puppies and even a wedding! So many park runners too. I'm not a great one for strenuous exercise but feel quite inspired to give it a try (but not tomorrow Wink).

DrunkenKoala · 20/08/2021 21:53

Going for a swim. DS has football training, so DP will probably take DD to park for a bit, before the weather turns in the afternoon.

Itstheprinciple · 20/08/2021 21:54

Waiting for DD to get up then school shoe shopping.

Samii89 · 20/08/2021 21:57

@BiddyPop ohhh lol! Its going to be on at 6.15 i think, on itv x LOVE it haha x

CalmConfident · 20/08/2021 22:05

Well…I came on to say parkrun but looks like the parkrunners are already out in force on this thread Grin

It really is the best way to start the weekend !

TellySavalashairbrush · 20/08/2021 22:10

Going for an antigen test as I’m due to travel abroad on Monday. Then house work for the rest of the day.
