I've had a letter from Santander to say I have q dormant Instant Saver account so I am heading into town to find out how much is in there.

Anyone want to help guess?

For background, I opened the account over 15 years ago and at that time was earning about £28k.

I drove a new car and saved up enough to travel the world, but what is left in this forgotten account.

Did I stash a cheeky grand. Or £100 to open it. Or is it empty or maybe containing £4.36.

I'm quite excited.

If it is like my nationwide account which is so old I can’t even get into it to close it then I’d say £2.47.

I think it's got to be less than a tenner otherwise you probably would have withdrawn it at a cash point. Hoping it's a much more significant amount though!

If it's not, I would buy a few lottery tickets with the money just in case!
