Make me feel "better" by telling me what's worse

I had osteomyelitis in my jaw because of a piece of tooth left in after an extraction. I spent 3 days in labour and would take that over the jaw/tooth any time.

Corneal abrasion. Prior to that I'd have agreed wit you it was tootache but a small piece of grit hitting my eye in a strong wind changed my mind. Liquid morphine did nothing for it. Both my eyes closed (even though only one was hit) and my legs gave way with the pain - I actually crawled back down the path. It made labour feel like a pleasant evening out.

Toothache is hideous. If you've got some spirits - whisky, vodka etc. take some and hold it against the tooth for a while it does help numb it a bit. Hope you feel better soon OP

No I haven't been able to see a dentist yet, I was trying to find an NHS one but have admitted defeat and gone private. Think I'll need a filling.

I've been hospitalised recently with a very painful condition. Morphine and tramadol were my friends. But toothache can be really miserable. Hope you feel better soon.

I have had a tooth abscess. My face swelled up and i was in terrible pain. Still not as bad as the time I slammed my thumb in a taxi door (it shut properly). I fainted twice from the pain.

Kidney infection's been my worst, but my colleague's just been off for 10 days with toothache! Hope you get it sorted soon OP!

probably sounds a bit lame compared to some of these, but a really really bad hangover can be awful.

What drugs do you have? I have had an abscess recently and co codamol was the only thing that touched it.

I thought toothache was the worst until I got Quinsy. It was like toothache, earache, tonsillitis and migraine combined - plus you get lockjaw and cannot swallow so sit drooling like a rabid fox. I actually passed out from the pain, which has never happened to me before.

My SIL argues that her severe kidney infection was worse, pain-wise. To be fair it sounded horrendous and she was ill for weeks.

Toothache is fucking horrible though OP. Take as many painkillers as you can and apply some clove oil until you can see a dentist x

Sorry but particularly vivid picture of a rabid fox did make me laugh.

As an ex dental nurse I've seen patients pleading to have their heads removed while suffering from excruciating toothache. The look of relief on their faces once it has been sorted is amazing.

Just paracetamol, ibuprofen and vodka.

As an ex dental nurse I've seen patients pleading to have their heads removed while suffering from excruciating toothache. The look of relief on their faces once it has been sorted is amazing.

I also have an irrational fear of the dentist. Any tips?!

I've heard Cluster Headaches (I think it's that type) are absolutely excruciating.

Recovering from a haemorhoidectomy was the worst thing I've ever gone through. Felt great until the morphine wore off - then the first poo comes. Jesus christ

A Slipped disc several years ago I literally was begging DH to kill me and stop the pain. I couldn't get up and almost threw up with the effort to move. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

No I think toothache is worse than everything. For me it's important to max out the painkillers so no breakthrough pain, hot water bottle on my face, clove oil dabbed on the tooth. Good luck.

But...I have a bad broken tooth now and it doesn't really help thinking of past pain lol. I remember rocking back and forth on the sofa watching dirty Sanchez and jackass lol
