If PA was completely innocent he’d co-operate. Wouldn’t you want to clear your name if you knew you had done nothing wrong?

^^ This.

Use the best legal team in the world and clear your name

nottodaybatman · 20/08/2021 20:15

This is why I really think most royalist deliberately don't look too closely at the entire edifice.
The PA situation is particularly illogical and distasteful. However all of it struggles with any sort of scrutiny and the more our media hysterically defends them the more obvious it becomes.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 20:18

She protecting PA, paying his legal bills and letting him hide at balmoral

It's getting a lot of criticism elsewhere, it's not just us on here.

@Roussette I genuinely didn't care about the RF previously. It was quirky and harmless in my opinion.

But watching the treatment of Meghan, the situation with PA I really cannot unsee it now. And the more royal rota articles I come across the more the gleeful racism and victim blaming leaps out, it feels like I am being yelled at by an unpleasant racist uncle at a family gathering.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 20:54

@nottodaybatman
Yep. That's me. I used to think they were this harmless entity that appealed to the flag waving union jack people... what's the harm? All a bit of fun. I was out there with the street parties and days off work.

But things have changed. Organisations, charities, politicians, royalty are far more accountable than they used to be. Down to SM in the main, and quite right too. Expenditure become public (I wish, in the case of the RF!), and it's a case of hang on a minute... how much are we spending on this? Fine. Whilst they do what we expect.

But that hasn't lasted. There's been too many ridiculous scandals, digging in, manipulation of the press, manipulation of laws, sense of entitlement... personally I've had enough. Change or disintegrate.
(and well done H&M for getting out)

That is exactly how I feel.

We have no idea whether he knew she was groomed, or her age at the time

And yet we know he didn't question the regular merry go round of unchaperoned girls barely older than his daughters revolving round Epstein.

Fortunately, she has always acted with integrity

Arf. Have you seen the multiple reports of string pulling in her own interests over the years? Latest is to make damn sure her Scottish estate is exempt from compulsory purchase laws. The only person in Scotland who is.

On a different note it's worth remembering that the PA scandal conveniently takes the spotlight off Charles who has his own history with supporting convicted child sex offenders and notoriously 'open secret' pervs. See his associations with Peter Ball and Jimmy Savile.

nottodaybatman · 20/08/2021 21:06

Paedophiles etc don't just groom their victims they groom the people around them. Lurking around a family that is exempt from the law and criticism is a logical move. Either the RF do not vet their friends and hangers on that well or that is quite a lot of bad luck with friends.

But the protection of PA is protecting all of them from scrutiny nothing else makes sense. I think the murky finances is the core issue.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 21:16

Murky finances indeed.

The level of opacity is astounding. It has been reported that PA's finances are mired in controversy. And that's reported by reputable sources.

He's got away with it for far too long. But times they are a'changing.

chaosrabbitland · 20/08/2021 21:20
@chaosrabbitland

i have read about the case , it doesnt make me believe her story , i dont believe she was a miserable terrified ,sex slave trapped and imprisoned , unable to call for help or get out somehow .

Then why are you promoting the false narrative the PA is the only bloke Virginia has accused?
If you've read about the case you know that isn't true so why are you lying?
Also where is this book she's written that you keep mentioning?
prince andrew might not be the only man shes accused , but iv never heard her going on and on about the others the way she does prince andrew , like hes the easist one to target , i never said that she hadnt accused others , just from the way she goes on about him its like hes the only one she slept with and there must be quite a few more i would think if she was a sex slave , so i wasnt lying at all , the book is called the billianaires playboy club , honestly its not hard to google it really

nottodaybatman · 20/08/2021 21:24

I have come to the opinion that all the victim blaming posters are actually stealth Republicans trying to turn public opinion.

Keep going Chaos fly that misogyny flag, let that ignorance shine.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 21:26

but iv never heard her going on and on about the others the way she does prince andrew

For the third time on here... have you heard of Alan Dershowitz. She has gone 'on and on' about him too.

You repeatedly ignore that. He's famous in the US. But you only home in to PA.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 21:31

p.s. I've not read the book. But read about it.

Good on her. Opening a can of worms. Truth is hard to accept

yes whatever , if these men shes accused of are guilty then how come they havent been arrested and serving time yet then ? iv got my opinion , everyone else is welcome to theirs , i couldnt give a shit about trying to convert anyone to mine . lets be real im not the only one out there that does not believe her story .

so has this guy been arrested and tried in court , i find it odd that shes made these accusations then about all these men ,, surely some of them should have been arrested and tried in court for raping her no ?
KidneyBeans · 20/08/2021 21:35

@chaosrabbitland

So when you say 'book for profit' what you actually mean is 'unsealed court documents'

Yeah I can see how legal evidence is easily confused with a publicity stunt for financial gain.
If you lack all powers of reading comprehension and critical thinking.

www.standard.co.uk/news/world/prince-andrew-epstein-victim-document-courts-a4514076.html

But then I guess that's the same as you ignoring allegations she's made against other men because it doesn't suit your narrative.

Using your own ignorance as evidence isn't especially convincing
What exactly is your point

Roussette · 20/08/2021 21:35

Yeah. We know that.

You just carry on with your disbelieving.

Such a naive view you have. Bit scary actually.

You are trashing 150 women who have made statements of abuse. And 25 accusers were brave enough to have their moment in court.

Let that sink in.

Roussette · 20/08/2021 21:37

so has this guy been arrested and tried in court , i find it odd that shes made these accusations then about all these men ,, surely some of them should have been arrested and tried in court for raping her no ?

God alive, give me strength. You do know don't you that Epstein hung himself?

How easy would it be then?

Answer me.

KidneyBeans · 20/08/2021 21:38

You mean like Jeffrey Epstein, convicted sex offender?

CathyorClaire · 20/08/2021 21:40

iv never heard her going on and on about the others the way she does prince andrew , like hes the easist one to target

You think an experienced lawyer is easier to target than an entitled, arrogant prince who's been feted and protected from birth?

H'okay...

Roussette · 20/08/2021 22:07

In case anyone is interested, here are the official court papers served on PA,or about to be served

myheartskippedabeat · 20/08/2021 22:56

This just about sums it up

Prince Andrew sued by Virginia Roberts ll
nottodaybatman · 20/08/2021 22:57

Part of me thinks the hysterical media reaction is because 20 years ago there was no social media. So the rota could just ignore bad behaviour. Trying to put a spin on the nonsense is new and it isn't working.

You need an audience for your double standards, racism and misogyny but you cannot serve up too much or it becomes obvious. And you cannot serve it up with too many non Brits watching.

In 2021 we have had
Meghan
The dodgy cousin selling access to the Russians again, downplayed by the media

Fergie doing Fergie

William politicking with Gordon Brown in Scotland
Revelations about the Royal households being exempt from race discrimination laws
Opting out the compulsory purchase environmental legislation
Hiding PA in balmoral
Requesting a media blackout re balmoral
The Q paying for PA legal fees
British media calling a CSA and trafficking victim a prostitute in print to defend PA; then the rest of the media ignoring the story as much as possible

The RF looks like a bunch of dodgy grifters with the royal rota insulting the intelligence of the general public to justify the indefensible. It's a tough gig to be a committed royalist.

myheartskippedabeat · 20/08/2021 23:01

What I don't understand tho is if there is all these accusations why hasn't Pa been brought in for questioning and why is this whole thing being dragged out for such a long time

KidneyBeans · 20/08/2021 23:08

@myheartskippedabeat

What I don't understand tho is if there is all these accusations why hasn't Pa been brought in for questioning and why is this whole thing being dragged out for such a long time
Because he's refused to cooperate with law enforcement and the royal family have protected him.
