I'll start with skinny co pornstar martini mix. Tasted incredibly sweet and synthetic. It stated use 1 part vodka to 3 parts mix. I tried that too sweet added more vodka so 50/50 just about drinkable. I drank another one with the reverse ratios, almost OK but I was so drunk I fell over and knocked the TV over.

The other downside was that it stank so much so that my empty glass had made the whole room stink.

@Caritas

Biggest regret: spending £25k on a horse that was dishonestly advertised as being ‘safe for a nervous rider and bombproof in traffic’, which in the first week reared up and threw me into oncoming traffic, requiring a trip to hospital with a broken arm and punctured lip. Needless to say the horse was returned to his previous owner and £25k refunded!
That is truly awful Thanks

Such a faff and looks dated and ugly.

This is the best thing I have read all evening and really made me laugh! Thank you for sharing Grin

Steam mop

Dyson vacuum

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 11/08/2021 21:06

@RandomMess

The new cat.

We are all exhausted elderly cat and dog included.

Surely you realise that you didn't buy the cat you paid a subscription and they are just evaluating you to see if measure up. ... hang in there, it will be worth it, ... probably!

Shark Liftaway. Needy. Breathless. Smelly wanker.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 11/08/2021 21:11

I dislike the Hetty intensely. On the other hand I like the Beko cordless and the headlights are really good for seeing into corners. One of the attachments is good on blinds too.

pictish · 11/08/2021 21:13

Steam cleaner - get better results with hot soapy water and a cloth.

The Shark vacuum - like someone else said; faints at anything other than light dust and spits everything back out in a little pile on the floor. Total waste of money. I had to get cumbersome old Henry back out of retirement. Much better.

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 11/08/2021 21:14

Sort of a purchase, paying to get my eyebrows micro bladed! Didn’t work, I just had mental looking black eyebrows for 2weeks while they “healed” (I’m blonde so they really did look awful) and they then just faded. I went 3 times to get them redone and just didn’t work. So annoyed and such a huge waste of money!

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 11/08/2021 21:16

Also yes to the poster who mentioned a juicer, we barely use ours as it’s too much of a faff to wash up the 179 different components

DrRichardBurke · 11/08/2021 21:16

Everyone saying cordless hoovers - did you ever remove and wash all filters?
Seems obvious but many people don't seem to realise. They clog much quicker than normal hoovers.

After cleaning filters, when I hoover, I can feel mine clinging to the floor the suction is so good!

MrsSkylerWhite · 11/08/2021 21:17

Expensive pasta maker. Much easier by hand.

octopuseyes · 11/08/2021 21:18

Cordless dyson loses power after 2 mins always gets jammed
Electric steamer - takes up too much space. Too many fiddly bits
Belling dishwasher- not enough space. Wheels on trays keep falling off. Cheapy and nasty
Steam mop- nothing beats a proper clean!

Good stuff
Panasonic bread maker
Henry hoover
All Bosch appliances
😃😃

16purplecolour16 · 11/08/2021 21:22

@DrRichardBurke - agree re Dyson. There is the additional technique of removing the roller brush and the rotating mechanism that it sits on. With use, hair twists round the pin. Removing the build and your Dyson is back to pulling the carpet up.

RandomMess · 11/08/2021 21:23

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles

Beginning to think a subscription for a younger model may have been easier.

sergeilavrov · 11/08/2021 21:26

Reusable produce bags. I had a bit of an 'earth mum' moment and forgot I work away, order all groceries online, and have zero spare time when I'm home. Our housekeeper presumably resents opening and binning all the plastic on delivery day, putting the vegetables into these bags and into the fridge. DH says it's nice to pretend we're good people, whereas all I see when I open the fridge is a reminder that I'm a massive knob.

OublietteBravo · 11/08/2021 21:26

Lakeland heated clothes dryer - it's too big and ugly!

Noooo. I love mine. (Almost) my favourite lockdown purchase.

EspressoDoubleShot · 11/08/2021 21:29

Juicer thingy I gave it away

TillyTopper · 11/08/2021 21:29

Cordless Dyson - dies after 20 mins. I also bought a steam mop but sent it back as the lead was so short I couldn't do even 1/2 room at a time.

EspressoDoubleShot · 11/08/2021 21:30

This really made me laugh, so joyously swearie
BrilloPaddy · 11/08/2021 21:30

The bastard tennis ball that our spaniel has been dropping at my feet for the last 3 hours............. it's going in the bin when he's in bed!

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 11/08/2021 21:37

Our 28 year old motorhome....
I really want to like camping but the truth is, it's not me but if dh ever suggests selling it l know l would feel sad so say not yet...

millerpie · 11/08/2021 21:41

The ridiculously expensive garden furniture with its two million cushions and it’s been too cold and wet to sit on for most of the summer.

BecauseMyRingBurnsSheila · 11/08/2021 21:41

@Apeirogon

Philips Lumea. Just too much of a faff.
I'm politely going to disagree with you here. I faithfully followed the instructions for over a year, regularly doing it when scheduled by the app and 2 years on I am still super happy with the results. Yes each IPL session took longer than a shaving session but in the summer I'd be shaving every day so overall it worked out as a time saver. Now I have zero underarm hair, zero bikini line hair, almost zero lower leg hair (that has taken the most effort) and am now working on my upper legs. I went to the beach today and unlike in the past I didn't have to stress about shaving beforehand as it is always fine.
