I paired ds socks (annual event) made an exceptional pudding, and thought no bad thoughts about MIL. quite pleased.

I replaced some buttons on a top that has been sitting in the bottom of the ironing basket since Christmas.
I cleaned the fridge.
I chatted on the phone to my SM for more than 5 mins, and about topics other than her health/the weather.

Gazelda · 08/08/2021 21:32

Oh, and well done you! How many odd socks did you end up with? What was the pud? Did you have bad thoughts about anyone else?

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:34

@Gazelda they all sound awesome. its the small things which are big sometimes.

OP posts:
Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:37

@Gazelda no bad thoughts really but I have just had 2 weeks off. 20 pairs, a lot chucked away doubtless their twins will creep out of the washing next week. pud was a crazy strawberry white choc cheesecake with all sorts of flowers and meringues chucked on it.

I passed my driving theory test.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 08/08/2021 21:38

I bought a tent for a camping trip next year Grin first camping of my life, complete novice.

Decided tonight that I'm going to sort myself out. Weight, MH, house, Imposter syndrome at work. Get myself sorted and work on fixing them all.

I'm currently baking a jacket spud for tomorrow lunch for work. No more buying service station food 💪

Oh and I booked dd and me for swimming Friday. Dd loves swimming and hasn't been since before covid. Can't wait to take her.

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:40

@Daisychainsandglitter woooo Well done! first time? I heard they're hard to even get a place on at the moment so that's amazing

OP posts:
Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:42

@BellaTheDarkOverlord that sounds so positive! enjoy your lunch and swimming session. Will you try the tent before next year?

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:44

@BellaTheDarkOverlord re work: you go girl! you got this, can't be holding yourself back

SantiagoSky · 08/08/2021 21:45

I went for an 1,5 h bike ride, ordered school bag, and talked to an old friend. Good day!

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:48

@SantiagoSky lovely. bank that. ahead of the game with the school bag, lovely to reconnect with a friend and you've had an amazing bike ride outside somewhere nice hopefully.

What a lovely concept for a thread, OP!

EvilHerbivore · 08/08/2021 21:50

@Stovetopespresso what a lovely thread, nice to have some positivity

I worked all day then came home and made dinner, emptied the bin, made my stinky pre-teens wash, made packed lunches and got clothes out for everyone for tomorrow and then cuddled the less-stinky pre-teens and watched some TV
Nice day 😁

CMOTDibbler · 08/08/2021 21:51

We put the roofbox on the car with no arguments! The tool for attaching the bike rack to the tow bar was found because it had been put away properly. And I have just about finished my MBA assignment due in tomorrow even though I am not inspired by the assignment, nor tbvh the entire module we are on.

Logbaskethammer · 08/08/2021 21:51

Well done OP and lovely idea for a thread.

I hoovered the stairs.
Put all the washing away.
Cooked two nice meals.

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:52

@UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa yeah I just realised today that there's loads of good stuff going on with us all really

OP posts:
Spanglelights · 08/08/2021 21:53

I was fairly nice to my kids AND only sent the man who dumped me last week for no good reason one whatsapp message. Which has been ignored.

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:53

@EvilHerbivore full on but you're reaping the benefits with the cuddles
enjoy them, hero points for the bin and the work xx

Indigopearl · 08/08/2021 21:55

I managed to cut 2 of my autistic sons fingernails. Big avhievement, he normally only lets me do one a day Grin

I weighed myself for the first time in months, found I had gained quite a bit but vowed to do something about it and have started a 14:8 diet.

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:57

@CMOTDibbler - you were mature, having been sensible in putting the roof box away, and dealt with the challenges of the potentially difficult teamwork. I hear that. also the boring assignment is done and gone! amazing! enjoy your holiday if that's why the box was going on the car

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 08/08/2021 21:57

I removed a rather icky interdental brush from the u bend in the bathroom sink

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 21:59

@Logbaskethammer wow I literally never hoover the stairs that must be a lovely feeling, 2 meals is above and beyond. the washing is a major achievement also.

OP posts:
Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 22:01

@Spanglelights you have rised above by only sending one message. you acknowledge its been ignored. AND you were still nice to your kids. awesome and brave.

BeautifulTulips · 08/08/2021 22:02

@Daisychainsandglitter

I passed my driving theory test.
Wow, well done ! I listen to the "youngsters" revising for hem at work and think they sound so hard!!

Mine is tidying the spare room and sorting out 3 bags for charity. I now have a clear bed and you can see the floor in there Smile

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 22:03

@indigopeal wow did you change technique for the nails? that's great! Good luck with the eating tomorrow, I am going to start 5 2 tomorrow. Time to take charge.
