I paired ds socks (annual event) made an exceptional pudding, and thought no bad thoughts about MIL. quite pleased.

@OublietteBravo cool that's the kinda thing which would have caused so many problems if you'd left it!

TwoZeroTwoZero · 08/08/2021 22:05

I finished an online learning thing for work.

I made 2 small bags.

I baked a cake.

I did all this before lunch.

Galassia · 08/08/2021 22:06

Cleaned the interior of my car and in the process found a pair of sunglasses I thought I had lost.

OldTinHat · 08/08/2021 22:07

I was feeling lonely today so phoned each one of my friends and found out they were all feeling fed up and lonely too. Bloody rainy Sundays in August! I now have a sore throat from yakking all day! But I'm very happy 🤗

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 22:08

@BeautifulTulips yes my theory was a doddle compared to theirs.

big up for stuff leaving the house, such a good feeling.

@Galassia wow the inside of ypur car? I can only aspire to that and vaguely chuck random wrappers in poo bags occasionally, you reaped your reward with the sunglasses. fantastic.

@OldTinHat you made a ton of people feel connected and reached out proactively to make everyone feel better

Yes dh is going somewhere in September which he can camp at so he will be taking the new tent to try out and a camping mat I've just ordered. Really hope he likes it Smile

I wish I could make puddings but then again that may not help my weight goal Grin

MMAMPWGHAP · 08/08/2021 22:16

I have a boot full of stuff to take to charity / return to stores tomorrow (small boot as it’s only a Micra).

I realised that the old ski boots I have been keeping for years don’t actually fit so. don’t need to find a better place to store them - they are in the Charity run.

I made a delicious dinner that the whole family actually like.

I persuaded Clarks to refund a pair of sandals bouth for my elderly mother which were 2 days past the rather miserly 14 day exchange that they allow for sale goods.

OldTinHat · 08/08/2021 22:17

OP - thank you for starting a wonderful thread and making us all feel so happy. You need a boost for being just darn awesome!

TeaandHobnobs · 08/08/2021 22:17

I totally blitzed the cupboard of doom under the stairs, with 4 bags of stuff to the charity shop and about 15 to the recycling centre 💪🏻

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 22:17

@BellaTheDarkOverlordy my regime starts tomorrow, hopefully the kids will finish the pud for lunch.
your dh can give you the low down on tent putting up and taking down.

I put 2 things on ebay, 2 out of god knows how much crap but it's a start Halo

EducatingArti · 08/08/2021 22:18

I did a PCR test and cleaned the bedroom!

RosesandPumpkins · 08/08/2021 22:19

I didn’t lose my shit with the kids.
I spoke to my mum on the phone.
I loved myself a little bit and accepted myself.

ChaToilLeam · 08/08/2021 22:20

I lengthened a pair of trousers for a friend who is 6’7”. 🧵 🪡

I went to the gym with DP and lifted many weights. 🏋️ 💪

I filed all my loose paperwork so the dining table
is now clear of clutter. 📄 🍲 and made a nice dinner to put on it. 😋

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 22:20

@MMAMPWGHAP well done for standing up to Clarks. again, so great to get useless stuff out to charity, doing good forbtje world and those boots will be so useful to someone. and a lovely family meal to (ski) boot! wonderful.

No, not normally. Dh was snoring this morning and my mask/headphones had run out of battery so, because I'm not allowed to smother him, I got up at 5a.m. I'm normally horizontal until noon!

Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 22:24

@RosesandPumpkins great you spoke to your mum, it's so easy to let that slide in my experience. also what a small/big step to acknowledge and love yourself, you kept it together to the kids too, no more to achieve!

OP posts:
Stovetopespresso · 08/08/2021 22:27

@ChaToilLeam favour for a tall friend, tidy paperwork, clean table, meal on it, and you kept fit as a joint activity with your dp. bingo.

I have stayed in bed most of the day Blush
I have done some washing and went out briefly and other than that, dc and I have hung out in my bed reading, playing games and watching films.
We took a break while we ate the roast Dh cooked Grin
It’s not a normal Sunday, I do usually get up and about but we had a big long overdue family get together yesterday and spent about 3 days preparing everything for it and then had a couple of drinks last night (really not too many) and a very late night and then couldn’t get to sleep as Dh was snoring so just very tired today!
I would say not much to big up but it’s been a lovely lazy day Grin

MMAMPWGHAP · 08/08/2021 22:29

Thankyou!
