I paired ds socks (annual event) made an exceptional pudding, and thought no bad thoughts about MIL. quite pleased.

Love this thread!

Today I got myself showered, dressed and did my hair and makeup.
I also washed and put away all the dishes that had been accumulating for two days and sorted out DD's wardrobe to pack away what she has grown out of. Feeling accomplished today.

@HeReWeGoAgAiN1112

I survived day 8 of sertraline for anxiety that I’ve been ignoring for months I’ve written a list for my day off tomorrow and I’m about to treat myself to an early night 😊
Well done. You've got a step (or 8 steps) further than me. I went to the GP, reluctantly agreed to antidepressants, collected the prescription, but haven't got as far as actually taking one for various reasons. Enjoy your day off.

I got my classroom sorted and finished my planning so that I can actually switch off for the rest of the holiday.

Tiddleztheelephant · 09/08/2021 21:36

@PresidentJoey

I told a creepy customer not to call me 'sweetheart'. He got all defensive and muttered under his breath 'I bet your husband doesn't call you that'.

I quietly added 20% onto his invoice Grin

Good for you 🎉🎉🎉

@tellmetologoffIamaMNaddict you strided (strode?) confidently up that hill and did something you've been meaning to do for a while. Big tick in the box, what are the leaflets for?

@SimonJT have a fab break, ita great knowing you won't have to do any food shopping while you're away and when you get back your bathroom grout will be looking all clean and new and maintained. need to do mine actually.

@FuzzyPuffling

I have cleaned the outside drain, made some chocolate chip biscuits and most definitely washed my hands very well in between these two activities.
an outside drain is a huge deal. homemade choc chip cookies too...well deserved.

I did six laundry loads of my senile mother's filthy clothes and labelled and packed them all really neatly ready for her to move into a care home.
I wrote my father's eulogy for his funeral next week
I cooked a pretty good spag bol and despite all the stress had water instead of wine.

Stovetopespresso · 09/08/2021 22:11

@WeatherwaxOn great work re the CEO and not letting it drop. also no minor thing to actually get a letter into the box these days. hope you get a good outcome. also keeping the house going with the chores, it all needs doing...and you're doing it

Well done everyone and @Stovetopespresso what a lovely idea for a thread.

Today I wrote a long e-mail in French to my lawyer concerning a right of way dispute and took photos to send with it. Cursed Gmail a lot because it kept telling me photos were over the limit Hmm Then called the car insurance people, paid a load of bills and put away all the washing from the weekend and there were NO ODD SOCKS!!! And grated some courgettes from the garden to freeze because they didn't look like they'd last long. Ideally I'd have made them into soup but ran out of time.

Now I'm having a nose bleed Sad

Charley50 · 09/08/2021 22:20

I got up before 10am (on annual leave). I reminded myself that when I go shopping I should buy drain cleaner. Then I wondered if white vinegar would do the job, being better for the environment, and if I should get that instead.

Stovetopespresso · 09/08/2021 22:21

@Kneel that sounds like a fiddly job and a half. post a pic of the Harry Potter when it's finished! or the guinea pigs manicure if you prefer.
