Poor chap he's been tricked into sharing an evening of drinking & dancing with some lovely blonde 20 somethings. Followed by being tricked into going back to a hotel with them all. Poor chap doesn't have much luck does he?

I read he was in a nightclub with friends and invited the women in to his VIP area. He then went back to their hotel room with them, not his hotel. That was reported as coming from one of the women's mother.

He's not even a good football manager, nearly took Derby into the third tier for the first time in many years.

For me, the victim blaming argument doesn’t stand up in this situation. He holds 99% of the power. He is physically stronger than those women. Financially he’s untouchable. He has a position of responsibility as a world famous sportsman, father and husband. He shouldn’t behave like this.

Tbh I think he had every intention to cheat again but was too intoxicated. Why would he go back with the women to the hotel, one picture looked like he was very comfortable hugging and kissing. I think he got what he deserved abit of embrassment. Colleen's a mug for staying but she clearly likes the status of being married to him he's nothing to look at.

Completely agree with this. He wasn't there to play Scrabble, and now he's pissed off that he's been caught again.

Society is harsh on women who become victims ("why was she jogging in a park at 8pm in the dark?") when they put themselves into far less compromising positions than the ones he made while he still had capacity. Were the women right in their actions? No, not at all. But he's led himself into a position where it's very likely that he could be exploited.

Which is the point. A woman going out jogging at 8pm is a healthy activity and no one would berate a man for doing it. It's something she should be free to do safely and without rebuke just as men do. Wayne Rooney going out and getting bladdered in dubious company of people who are fairly likely to exploit him is never going to have a happy, wholesome ending.

"The women" I refer to are the snap chat models, not female joggers. The snap chat models have behaved poorly, but Wayne Rooney is an idiot for putting himself in a high risk position.

His intentions might have been bloody awful but in the quest for 15 minutes/money/clicks those women proved themselves to be even worse.

He is married. He is acting like a single bloke. He wants a new hole ripping.

However, don’t tell me that they didn’t know who he was, what they were doing and that they didn’t know he is married with kids.

No matter the protestations from an outraged mummy, good girls don’t sniff after married blokes. They don’t bare their arses next to someone who is so out of it that he is practically unconscious for clicks and money. And they don’t (if the claim is true) blackmail people.

If the blackmail claims are correct then they deserve whatever comes from it.

They wouldn’t be going near him it if he was just a ordinary Joe.

If it was a woman and three blokes and the woman was married with kids I'd still berate her for being there. Not because "she's asking for it" or anything like that but because if you're married with kids you don't go back to a cheap nasty hotel with three men in a hammered state because it's disrespectful to your husband. More so if you're famous and it's going to be plastered all over the papers and mortify everyone involved

I don't know why Colleen stays with him but it won't be for money. A long marriage and 4 kids would give her millions if they divorced.

They must have some arrangement, they have to. Why else would you stay with someone who behaves in such a humiliating manner. I guess shes just more discreet than he is.

I’m not sure there’s much status in being married to Wayne Rooney.

What are rich and famous men of his age, married with kids, actually planning on getting up to when they go out to their VIP areas in their nightclubs. Let’s be honest they’re not there for a banter and a bit of dancing. They’re looking for girls to invite into their VIP area. It’s all so sad and seedy. He looks quite pathetic. Those girls are totally in the wrong and gross. But he needs to rethink his life. His poor kids have to see that.

Those women have acted foolishly, but they are clearly also very young. I'd guess 18 from those photos? Which of us didn't make poor choices at 18?

Yes, they should be called out for it and indeed told off by the police if the blackmail claims are true. But no more than that.

Yeah I've just been reading about him. Looks like a car crash, I see stuff like this and think of Gazza and how he spiralled. You'd hope this latest incident would be a wake up call but looking at his response I think he's capable of sinking much further.

When you think he was on a par with Sergio Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgio Chiellini who all played in last months Euros its just sad what hes become.

Blackmail is an extremely serious crime and can carry a hefty prison sentence.

He is a year younger than Cristiano Ronaldo and the difference is striking.

I think the girls are being treated quite harshly. The pics / vid I've seen where there's stripping are literally we're they're mooning him and farting at him. Uncouth yes but I'm seeing a lot of metoo hashtags about is the roles were reversed and I don't know how in the hell anyone could think this is sexual. Am I being dim?

He's a cheating idiot but tbf although the women's behaviour wasn't sexual it was DEGRADING. Imagine the outraged response on here if it was a woman passed out with men farting on them etc. It's horrible. I feel sorry for Coleen and her kids but she's obviously aware of the way he is and is a fool to put up with it. Their eldest son is about 11 now, imagine seeing stuff like that about your dad in the news.

The girls were vile and their behaviour awful. BUT he brought it all on himself as usual. This may be the last straw for his employer as he’s already on serious warnings due to his drinking. But will it be the last straw for his wife?

To all those saying she's a catholic so she'll never divorce, can I point out that catholics can and do get divorced. And if she is a catholic is he as well? Isn't there some part in the vows about forsaking all others?

I remember watching an ITV docco with the Rooneys a couple of years back. He may very well be a bit dim, but she came across as the one who wears the trousers in that relationship, not as someone who'd tolerate any of his behaviour.

Given that he could not keep his rancid dick in his pants before they even married, it is abandonly clear that Colleen signed up for the money and z-list fame. Pathetic and I don't understand all of the praise for someone with so little self-respect. Not a role model for young women, other than gold diggers.
