Water Slide Vagina Injury

Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
I follow a lady on Instagram called babiesafter35 and I am absolutely traumatised by this phenomenon she has described.

Basically if you go down a water slide there's a chance that the force of the water can enter your vagina and cause severe damage to internal organs, haemorrhage or even death! I am sure it's incredibly rare but I had never heard of this before. Anyone else?

Can happen to women of all ages including young girls.

Never going on a flume again 😱

Better keep your legs together!

I had internal injuries from a waterslide when I was a child on holiday.

My parents thought I had started my period but it was agony. After I was complaining about how sore I was down there my mum took me to the hospital. I was bruised, swollen with lots of cuts and grazes inside.

The hospital said I wasn't the first child to appear with those type of injuries and I was to wear a wetsuit if I wanted to go back on them once I had healed.

A jet of bibles up your muff?

Sweet lord I feel like I’m missing out

No idea about flooding your lady garden, but my sister lost her bikini top on one and didn't realise until her offspring pointed it out.

The problem with relying on ‘cross your legs’ is that if there is an unexpected bump there can be an unconscious reflex to open the legs and extend the arms to steady oneself.

Lighter people, such as women and children, are more likely to be tossed around. I remember flipping over on the corners of fairly tame water slides as a child. I’m fairly sure I would have sprawled my arms and legs out reflexively to steady myself.

Nocutenamesleft · 24/07/2021 18:33

I’ve ridden jet skis for many years. We go all year round

It tends to happen more to people on the back. (Though it’s vanishingly rare!). Also hers was her rectum. Her bowel perforated. If you’re on the front. You can sort of tense up as you lose your grip. Also the machine cuts out when the driver comes off. Meaning less speed. The back person usually doesn’t have any idea they’re falling. Plus it doesn’t cut out. Some of them go more than 80mph on a flat sea.

This is why you’ve got to have experience to go on one. Never on holiday either. British seas. Always drive!
I knew about this and do visit water parks but I never go on drop slides or very fast ones due to the injuries sustained by others. I am more of a lazy river person nowadays.

I always thought you had to cross your ankles in case you end up with one leg being forced backwards and the resulting injuries from that.

Dh worked for a law company and in his job came across many injury claims from insurance companies including de-gloving a foot. He was horrified, as was I when he told me about de-gloving. Very apt description.

More medical injuries from water slides pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29766055/
I’ve seen quite a few de-gloving injury’s.

I find them fascinating. I’ve got a medical background originally.

I wouldn’t google if you’re at all squeamish!!

This is another one of those things where I wonder if this problem would have been solved (specialist wear, fanny cup?) if it were men who were primarily affected by this.

Justontherightsideofnormal · 24/07/2021 19:19

This is true although I didn't get horrific injuries. I haven't been down the white waterslide at center parks since having children for this very reason Shock

eastegg · 24/07/2021 19:22

@voucheRs

I didn’t know this I did recently hear of someone falling off a jetski and a jet of bibles went up her and ripped her intestines
Presumably it was up her rectum, not vagina. No consolation to her of course, but significant if true as it would mean all this 'women' talk is nonsense as it's a risk to absolutely everybody.
Hugoslavia · 24/07/2021 19:44

@DoylyCarte

I did know not to blow during a blow job though.

...why, what happens?? Can you twist it into the shape of a dog afterwards?

Hugoslavia · 24/07/2021 19:48

@voucheRs

Makes a change from having the Bible rammed down your throat I suppose!

Ginandcrispsarebliss · 24/07/2021 19:55

@PrettyBlunt

Never heard of it.

✍️ avoid water slides and a big penis.

When i was in Florida they don’t allow pregnant women on the huge water slides because of potential injury so I guess it’s true

SpangleSparkle · 24/07/2021 20:13

I have actually had this happen, the pain was incredible!
It didn’t cause any further damage other than the embarrassment of waddling out of the pool to check I’d done no damage but it was very painful and put me off them

Tealwarrior · 24/07/2021 20:25

I did once have a very unpleasant trip to the bathroom after being on a water slide. It was exactly like having an enema.

Buggersticks · 24/07/2021 20:32

"Bibles" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

HearMeSnore · 24/07/2021 22:22

I've not heard this before but it sounds distressingly plausible and horrific.

I can, however, report that it is possible when descending a flume that splits into two part way down, to hit the wall between the two exits arse first. I swear my coccyx met my tonsils.

A water slide that splits in two?! Sounds safe....

I've never liked pools/waterparks/swimming etc reading this has validated my dislike for them. I've read this with everything clenched but nearly wet myself at the typo's.

Hboo31 · 24/07/2021 22:58

There was also a girl a few years back who was messing about in some fountains in Blackpool who got internal injuries when a jet went up her vagina

It’s a risk to men and women, but I think it ‘qualifies’ as a women’s issue because:

 1. Women are more likely to sustain these injuries as we have a rectum and a vagina, so double the probability presumably
 1. Women are less likely to be wearing shorts, so more likely to sustain injury it would seem
 1. Rectal injuries in women often involve the vagina and sex organs too, so have potentially worse outcomes
Ddot · 25/07/2021 10:04

YouTube idiot put air gun up work mates shorts and turned it on. He dropped like a stone, died shortly after. Bit off subject but 😱
Wear trunks on water flue and jet ski, protect your bits

Tomasinabombadil · 25/07/2021 10:53

It is definitely a risk to the vaginal area.
Many years ago 1980’s I worked in an office with a young woman whose hobby/sport was water skiing, she had to wear neoprene shorts at least if not a full wet suit to prevent the water forcing in to that area.
