Water Slide Vagina Injury

WorldsBestBoss · 22/07/2021 23:10

Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
I follow a lady on Instagram called babiesafter35 and I am absolutely traumatised by this phenomenon she has described.

Basically if you go down a water slide there's a chance that the force of the water can enter your vagina and cause severe damage to internal organs, haemorrhage or even death! I am sure it's incredibly rare but I had never heard of this before. Anyone else?

Can happen to women of all ages including young girls.

Never going on a flume again 😱

@Mumdiva99

I've never heard this but did learn to my embarrassment not to wear a bikini on a water slide!!
I need to know what happened Grin.
Thewolvesarerunningagain · 22/07/2021 23:20

Lol at bibles. No OP, I have never heard of this.

fingersfy · 22/07/2021 23:20

also most water slides are quite tame.

fingersfy · 22/07/2021 23:21

Surely it would do the same do the bum hole?

DramaAlpaca · 22/07/2021 23:22

At the only water slide I've visited the attendants tell you to cross your arms and your ankles before sliding. Maybe that's why?

I've heard of this. Surely if you've been down a very fast water slide you have ahem had a gush if water release itself a little while afterward? I know I have.

HasaDigaEebowai · 22/07/2021 23:23

It can apparently cause perineal and recital injuries too. People have died because of it.

VanGuff · 22/07/2021 23:23

Not the poo troll but did give myself an enema once on a water slide so I can see how this is possible! Was painful but no major injuries

Delicatesubjectsadly · 22/07/2021 23:23

Read in the paper about a lady who fell off a jet ski the other day , and yeah.. water shoot up her bits.. intestines all fell out as she vomited etc.
Never. Going. On. A. Jet. Ski.

@Delicatesubjectsadly I just googled that wtf!

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9794217/amp/Port-Macquarie-student-relives-horrific-jet-ski-accident-left-insides-torn-up.html

An Australian student and keen fashion designer has shared very intimate details about a horrific jet ski accident she endured which left her insides completely 'torn up'.

Matilda, 21, created a TikTok video aptly titled 'why the first time I rode a jet ski is also my last' in which she explains how losing grip on the person sitting in front of her left her with very serious internal injuries.

The glamorous youngster fell from the back of the water device and watched as the jet 'shot up her bum'. She immediately began to vomit in the water.

'Every time I vomited I felt my intestines coming out of my bum,' Matilda admitted in her brutally honest video.

'Once I got to shore, the paramedics came and they saved me. I woke up in the ICU 24 hours later and I found out that I had perforated my bowel, my intestines and tore my sphincter.

'This meant that all of the contents of my bowel was inside my abdominal cavity as well as some dirt and water from the lake.'

Matilda was rushed into surgery to try and fix some of the major damage.

'The surgeons had to cut me open, take out all my abdominal organs, clean them, fix the bowel and the intestines and put them back in,' she said.

'They also had to create a stoma, due to the damage that was done'.

Apparently yes, but the Instagram lady is a gynaecologist so she was discussing ladies injuries.

Haven't heard of this on a water slide but yes, injuries are real with jet skiing (to those who are saying they don't believe it/have never heard of it). But I would have thought you have to be going pretty fast on a water slide to cause an injury.

MrsMackesy · 22/07/2021 23:44

I apologise but it is that kind of topic, at this time of night, by a poster with little history.

Personally, I always wear a disposable poncho on a log flume.

I've been on mumsnet since 2008 - I just name change regularly.

It's genuine I can assure you - you can look up babiesover35 on Insta.

And I actually posted because there was a story about a young girl of 9 who came off a water slide covered in blood and no-one could work out what had happened. Useful to know if any of you have daughters, although I'm sure it's super rare.

I really wish I hadn’t googled that…

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 22/07/2021 23:53

you are supposed to cross your legs
I thought people knew that.

and if you lift your bum to create an arch you go faster

MorriseysGladioli · 22/07/2021 23:54

I've heard of it from years ago.
You're not supposed to blow air up there either.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 23/07/2021 00:02

This thread is amazing 🤣🤣🤣

Jet of bibles.... Jesus Christ

Recital injuries

🤣🤣🤣

StarlingsDarlings · 23/07/2021 00:03

God these injuries are downright scary. I had no idea. On our last holiday a girl was complaining the water had gone up her bum(!) - hope she wasn’t injured after reading this, her friends were just laughing it off.
