Water Slide Vagina Injury

WorldsBestBoss · 22/07/2021 23:10

Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
I follow a lady on Instagram called babiesafter35 and I am absolutely traumatised by this phenomenon she has described.

Basically if you go down a water slide there's a chance that the force of the water can enter your vagina and cause severe damage to internal organs, haemorrhage or even death! I am sure it's incredibly rare but I had never heard of this before. Anyone else?

Can happen to women of all ages including young girls.

Never going on a flume again 😱

Aww learning this is bad times 😱

I was watching an urbex video on YouTube recently where one of the male presenters randomly said that when they went down water slides their arse used to fill with water… his co-presenter looked shocked and didn’t reply, but… yes - I can confirm water up the bum hole on a water slide anecdotally via the internet does definitely happen! But there must be a pre-existing slackness surely? (Rhetorical)

This sounds awful. I didn’t know it existed but makes logical sense. I did know not to blow during a blow job though.

LavendulaAngustifolia · 23/07/2021 00:04

Gwyneth would recommend that as a spa treatment.

Carrotinthesky · 23/07/2021 00:23

I've experienced this going down a water slide when I was younger. Nothing dramatic in my case, but I can imagine a longer slide could have produced more discomfort.

"Good evening folks! We are Water Slide Vaginal Injury and we're going to do some sketch comedy for you tonight!"

EccentricaGalumbits · 23/07/2021 01:07

That did happen to a little girl at an Australian water park not long ago.

I'm sorry for the title of the story - a bit explicit and possibly triggering.

Luckily my idea of enjoying a water park is lying on a sun lounger reading and trying to avoid the sun.

I knew there was a reason I avoided anything strenuous.

MurielSpriggs · 23/07/2021 01:55

@HopeYourHighHorseBucks

I grew up with a shower hose. Il be fine thank you.

(The injuries do sound awful)

True, it doesn't affect men, although I've never heard it called that before.
TinaYouFatLard · 23/07/2021 02:21

In my twenties I went down one of those vertical slides at Blizzard Beach in Disney World. It was awful and I had water coming out of my vag and bum for ages after. Luckily no injury but I can see how it happens.

Also, my bikini top came right off so I was boobs out at the bottom.

1forAll74 · 23/07/2021 02:55

I think you would have to wear a padded ski suit.or two pairs of spanx knickers.

Whyamiwastingtime · 23/07/2021 03:23

they need to invent some kind of plated knickers

AMCoffeePMWine · 23/07/2021 03:34

@VanGuff

Not the poo troll but did give myself an enema once on a water slide so I can see how this is possible! Was painful but no major injuries
This happened to me too. I went straight from the water slide to the ladies, and luckily didn’t have an accident en route. To this day I will not go on a fast water slide.
OnTheBenchOfDoom · 23/07/2021 06:28

I knew about this and do visit water parks but I never go on drop slides or very fast ones due to the injuries sustained by others. I am more of a lazy river person nowadays.

I always thought you had to cross your ankles in case you end up with one leg being forced backwards and the resulting injuries from that.

Dh worked for a law company and in his job came across many injury claims from insurance companies including de-gloving a foot. He was horrified, as was I when he told me about de-gloving. Very apt description.

Is there not a middle ground here? Confused

www.researchgate.net/publication/7716680_Vaginal_water-jet_injuries_in_premenarcheal_girls

Vaginal injuries may result from the forceful entry of water into the vagina. Most water-jet injuries have been reported in adults who had a vaginal tampon in place at the time. Indeed, it has been hypothesised that water under pressure may induce a potentially injurious piston-like effect on tampons.

What about jumping (rather than diving) from a 5m board. Is that also likely to cause such injuries?

newnortherner111 · 23/07/2021 07:11

I have not heard of this, but given how small some bikini bottoms are these days, the possibility of 'wardrobe malfunctions' are quite high I expect.

See I was thinking tampons maybe the answer, how have I not been warned of this, I love water parks.

Pp said wear shorts on jetskis does anyone know if this would help...currently feeling a little Envy not envy, especially about the degloving.

TheTallOakTrees · 23/07/2021 07:50

"Water under high pressure can produce vaginal injury. Previous reports suggest that postmenarcheal maturation and the presence of a vaginal foreign body contributed to water slide injuries in women."

So older fannies then.

ShortBacknSides · 23/07/2021 07:51

Ahhhhhhh, the school holidays have started .

TheTallOakTrees · 23/07/2021 07:51
