Who uses it? Why?

I use it because I was radicalised by the shadowy figures who control Big Detergent and now I'm in too deep to extricate myself. I like the orange scented one from Sainsbury's. Use it on all my laundry aside from towels.

Yep. It makes my bedding softer and everything smell lovely x

I don't use it. My laundry doesn't need a lot of extra chemicals added to it, thank you very much, and I don't like it artificially fragranced either. I only use a lightly scented washing powder and line dry when I can, which gives the laundry the most delicious scent ever.

I don’t use it, never have. Partly because I can’t stand floral smells, but mostly because I regard it as a waste of money.

I have similarly been brainwashed by the evil people at Unilever to purchase it and use it in the wash.

It makes clothes smell nice and makes them easier to iron. For some clothes, it means I don't need to iron them at all.

Happy to be told I'm worse than Hitler for a generous use of Lenor. You can remove it from my cold, dead hands.

I've never used it either. My grandma's house also stank of it !!
Don't want to add any more scrap to the water systems

I don't use it. I never saw any benefit.

Not me, floppiness and nasty synthetic fragrance are not what I want for my laundry.

I like the smell and that the clothes aren't as crispy. I like the Fairy white one

For the same reasons I use conditioner on my hair - softening and fragrance.

Pieceofpurplesky · 20/07/2021 21:32

No. I like scratchy towels. Heathen I know!

Report
DramaAlpaca · 20/07/2021 21:34

I love a good scratchy towel too.

MaMelon · 20/07/2021 21:35

I use it because it makes my clothes softer, I like the smell, and because it’s legal.

Other people choose not to for various reasons that apply to them.

MaMelon · 20/07/2021 21:35

Not on towels though - I like a scratchy towel too.

Betsyboo87 · 20/07/2021 21:35

Only on bedding. I like the smell and the softness I guess. I like a scratchy towel though and fabric conditioner reduces the absorbency.

I use white vinegar, but only because I live in a hard water area. There's no smell of vinegar either.

Not bothered about my washing smelling of Ylang-ylang and Cucumber. It smells gorgeous when it's dried outside anyway

thecapitalsunited · 20/07/2021 21:36

I too have been brainwashed. I don’t like how crunchy clothes feel without it and I like the smell. Maybe it’s because I’ve always live in very hard water areas?

I don't use it. I have done, but as I don't like and therefore don't use the strongly scented ones, I don't find that it makes any difference.

A few less chemicals down the drain is no bad thing.

I don't use it. I never have, hate the smell and , even more, hate the slimy texture.
Why add chemicals to our lives?

I have never used it either .
I hate strong smells , when my lovely nighbour hangs her washing out I have a sneezing fit .

I also don't use hair conditioner .my hair has never been coloured, permed or straightened so is in relatively good condition.

It’s interesting that people are actually admitting that they have been brainwashed by Unilever’s marketing department! At least they are honest...

I guess ‘free problem with every solution’ really is a thing, as corporations think up ever more ingenious ways to sell us ever more pointless crap that we didn’t realise we needed.

I always used it. Then I ran out and went a week without any. I couldn't tell the difference, so never bought it again.
