I’ve decided I’d like an American man, please can you help me find one!

Yesterday I got talking to the lovliest man (at a clinic we were attending, not in a pub sadly) and I remembered how nice I’ve always found American men.

So I’ve decided I’d quite like one please, and I need you folks to help me find one. Any and all suggestions carefully considered :)

It's USA week in Lidl this week, you could always loiter round the middle aisles and see if any American men pop in for a taste of home Grin

I can’t do anything for at least a couple of weeks - I had wisdom teeth out yesterday and my face is black and blue! I very shortsightedly didn’t take Independence Day into account when planning for my op!

Try Harrogate.
I used to work as a Relocation agent and there were quite a few civilian contractors for the base there.
Absolutely loaded but mostly married unfortunately

@Americam he might be easy to find! I have just googled and he is living in Portland taking part time classes at Portland community college to get an engineering degree. Time to start applying to college.

I don’t know if covid has buggered up the schedules but there are usually a few NFL games in London…there will be plenty of American men there (That is of course if you want one that likes sport….)

I always get friend recommendations on LinkedIn for: 50 year old retired US Naval Doctor, named Chuck or whatever. Cue a pick of chuck in uniform, in front of a boat or whatever

Those are popular even among Brits but yeah, probably a good bet to meet one, or bars showing those.

Well you just go to America, turn up at any random bar where all the (extremely hot) men will be entranced by your accent and you’ll spend a lovely evening comparing pronunciation, before going back to theirs for a night of passion. Well it worked when Kris Marshall was looking for a woman, I’m sure it works the same the other way round.

Back in the day DeNiro’s in Newmarket was The Place for snagging a USAF serviceman. These days try Waitrose or Homebase. Usually uniformed by day, easy to spot.

I agree! Very important. I have one, he's a decent sort. He's Texan so he has to open the car door for me. I love that. He may own a gun, say he's fixin to do stuff and enjoy country music (terrible) but he is also a climate change believing feminist who doesn't eat seafood anymore because he doesn't 100% trust that any of it is sustainably caught and not damaging marine habitats.

Those kinds of men are pretty rare around here!
