Ah I've been feeling really down today.
I think it's really hit home for however long I live.
I'm on tablets and that CPAP machine.

It just really upset me.
Also got my app for the genetic testing results.
That's in January.
It's not too bad of a wait.

73kittycat73 · 06/11/2021 20:35

Thanks BorderlineHappy. Smile Luckily I've been fine so far...
Sorry to hear you are struggling with your eating too. I agree about salad! lol
No TV or Strictly for me tonight...The landlord finally sent people round to fix the gaping hole in the front of the building, but unfortunately they've moved my Sky satellite dish and I have no signal. I'm waiting for them to finish before I phone Sky to fix it. I hope they don't charge me!
Also, it sent my spidey senses tingling. Last year (ear before?) whenever I had to contact Sky they would mention my heavy usage of the internet. I thought it strange but then thought, I'm on it everyday so maybe that's why they think that? Anyway, I changed my broadband and obviously my old one was cut off. The neighbour downstairs complained to me his broadband had been cut off and had mine too? It then dawned on me where the heavy usage was coming from!!! He was downloading (Illegally) music and movies! With my broadband! I didn't raise it with him at the time (Wish I did, I was just shell shocked.) as we've had nothing but trouble with him and the police out quite a few times. (People round here have taken injunctions out against him.)
Anyway, when the workmen started to do their thing, neighbour came out and was ranting and raving at them saying he was going to call the police on them. I went out later to go to the shop and spoke to them and asked if the could point down the dish when they finished. They only went and told me that that's what he was having a go at them about. That they move his satellite dish!
Back on the phone to Sky on Monday and if he has done it again, I'm definitely getting in touch with the police this time. Angry

Sorry, didn't see your two replies, I was on the last page...
Sorry you are feeling down today BorderlineHappy.
I've heard it's quite hard to sleep with the CPAP? Because of the noise? I'm sorry you have to wait till January for your results. Maybe that's a good thing? If it was urgent they'd call you in sooner?
I know it's not going to take the bad feelings away but I suggest a nice warm drink, something nice to eat, and curl up on the sofa with Rocco and watch something light hearted. I really hope you feel better soon. (((HUGS)))
Hi PaperMonster. It seems we all have problems with our diet atm! It's so hard isn't it?
I hope your daughter managed to see some pretty fireworks? I heard loads! lol They're still going off now.

((((@BorderlineHappy)))) so sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit down. Sometimes you just have to go with the feelings and let them run their course. Hope you feel brighter soon.

What a bloomin cheeky neighbour @73kittycat73. Fingers crossed that you don’t have to go to the Police over him.

Bonfire night caused chaos here. There was an organised event that let unticketed people in so it was overcrowded; people were abandoning their vehicles everywhere - it’s a main A road. The noise was astounding - not the fireworks but the host and music was from 5pm to 11pm. The queues in and out of the village were shocking,

And today we had a lovely day shopping. Managed to get daughter one of the Oodies from Primark so I can reclaim mine!! Absolutely exhausted me though!

PaperMonster · 06/11/2021 20:46

@73kittycat73 today I’ve not even bothered with good eating! Tricky when eating out really! Had a lovely sandwich on sourdough and mid afternoon a cinnamon bun! Back to it tomorrow!!

BorderlineHappy · 06/11/2021 21:17

I've heard it's quite hard to sleep with the CPAP? Because of the noise
Just as well im deaf 🤣🤣 @73kittycat73
Its alright to use actually.Except for the farting and belching cause of the excessive air.

@73kittycat73
your neighbour sounds a wagon.
@PaperMonster
sounds a pain for the bonfire night.
Speaking of Primark i got some clothes that were a 12/14 and they fit.

PaperMonster · 06/11/2021 21:27

@BorderlineHappy that’s brilliant! I got some of the leggings lined with velvet-like stuff. Put them on this evening and they’re ever so comfy - think they’ll be nice and warm when out and about.

73kittycat73 · 07/11/2021 20:17

How are you feeling today BorderlineHappy? Did you manage to get much sleep? I find that always helps.
I don't know how I'd cope with a CPAP machine then. I already burp and fart like a good un! Grin I think I might explode...
Congrats on the clothes size. Star
Sorry to hear about your Bon Fire night troubles PaperMonster. I found that (In normal years) round here for Halloween. People used to actually drive to here and go round the estate, then go home! All well behaved though, not like the sound of your night.
It's nice to hear you had a good day shopping. Smile Hopefully you've also had a good night and don't feel as tired today? It's good you got your Oodie back too! lol I bought one a while ago (From Amazon, not an official one.) and have used it once rather then putting the heating on. You get to warm after a while don't you?! lol It's good it worked though.

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 07/11/2021 21:53

Well, we actually drove to a nearby town and my firework fearing daughter actually watched fireworks! Her friend invited her over so she wanted to go - was obviously better organised than the event in our village!! And it was free unlike the one here! She’s had a good time!

I was lucky enough to get an actual Oodie for my birthday - and yes you can get rather warm in them!! Am giving her the Primark one at Christmas so can’t fully reclaim mine just yet!

73kittycat73 · 08/11/2021 20:19

Aww, glad she liked the fireworks then. Smile
Shame you can't get your Oodie back yet. lol It was cold here today. Not so bad now.
I need to get up early tomorrow, catch the bin men. They are due tomorrow. I didn't put the bins out earlier as there were still workmen working on the scaffolding. I thought I'd wait so I didn't get in there way. Went to go put the bins out after they left and there's a two story plank of wood in the way! I did debate trying to move it but luckily came to the conclusion that it would be too dangerous, and didn't do it. So I've got to get up early to put the bins out. Pah. lol
How are you today BorderlineHappy? I hope you are OK?

OP posts:
BorderlineHappy · 09/11/2021 09:27

@73kittycat73 hope you caught the binmen.
@PaperMonster sounds like you all had a great time.

I'm feeling great this morning.
Made myself a lovely cooked breakfast.
2 veggie sausage,3 cauli hash browns, scrambled egg and some beans.
Just what the doctor ordered.
Just about to have another coffee cause the first one didn't count 🤣

Hope you all have a lovely day

73kittycat73 · 09/11/2021 20:50

Hi. Smile Luckily I did catch the bin men this morning but you have just reminded me I haven't brought them in yet. Doh! Grin
Breakfast sounds delicious! What veggie sausages did you have? My fav's are Linda McCartney. Richmond did a really nice one but I did the fast 800 diet a year or two ago and survived on them. Can't look one in the eye anymore! lol I wouldn't mind trying their new veggie bacon though...
I'm glad you were feeling so great this morning. Smile
Are you doing any Christmas planning? Or still to early for you? Xmas Grin

OP posts:
BorderlineHappy · 09/11/2021 22:20

The veggie bacon is rank🤢.
I bought the Quorn one and it was disgusting.

Not started Xmas shopping just yet as I'm still saving and I'd rather just go out and buy when I have enough money.
Y kids are getting money and my gc will probably get zoo tickets.
We don't buy for anyone else, too expensive.

WreckTangled · 10/11/2021 06:17

Hello, sorry I've been AWOL again. We've all been ill with a non Covid virus. My throat is so sore.

I like the Linda McCartney veggies sausages too. Not the Cumberland ones though, they're gross. The normal ones and the red onion ones.

I forgot to tell you all I won a years supply of low carb brownies on an Instagram competition Grin

BorderlineHappy · 10/11/2021 11:34

@WreckTangled ah hope your throat feels better soon.

Must be something in the water,i won a wagon wheel pizza.
Do the kids Saturday night.Give me the night off.

PaperMonster · 10/11/2021 16:20

Hi all! Busy busy busy here! 17 miles I walked yesterday! I think that’s a record for me!!

@BorderlineHappy are the cauli hash browns nice? Sometimes I crave a hash brown!! Well done on your win!!

@WreckTangled sorry to hear you’ve all been poorly and I do hope it clears up quickly for you - bugs are having a field day this year! And we’ll done on winning the brownies! That’s fab!

My win was £4 playing bingo last week!!

Hope you’re doing ok @73kittycat73! X

BorderlineHappy · 10/11/2021 20:44

@PaperMonster yes they are. Makes a nice change from cereal

PaperMonster · 10/11/2021 21:05

@BorderlineHappy think I need to get some!!

73kittycat73 · 11/11/2021 19:44

Hello, sorry I haven't been around. Have had really bad insomnia again, didn't sleep for almost 24 hours. Have managed some sleep last night though. Just going to read back on what I missed.

OP posts:
73kittycat73 · 11/11/2021 19:56

Hi BorderlineHappy. Smile It might be the maker rather than the bacon. I don't like Quorn at all. Blergh. lol But then again, I don't like mushrooms and it's mushroom based isn't it? I don't know if that would be a factor? I just don't like it. Do you prefer plant based, or meat substitute? I tried Squeaky Beans 'chicken nuggets' a while ago and couldn't eat them They tasted too 'real'! (I don't eat meat because of moral reasons, but also luckily, I don't like it! The taste, texture...yuk.)
Hi WreckTangled. Nice to see you. Smile Sorry to hear you are all poorly again. One trick I was told once by a chemist is, if you have a really sore throat, buy some soluble painkillers and gargle with them. It works! Can't remember how often you gargle with them, probably be best to check with the chemist.
Congrats on the brownie win! I'm so jealous! lol Seriously, that's a really nice prize. Well done you. Star
Hi PaperMonster. Smile All that walking, it tires me out just thinking about it. Grin Congrats on the £4.00, it's enough to buy tqwo lottery tickets! Grin
I got bought my birthday present today. I was telling my mum how uncomfortable my computer desk chair is. I only got this year or last and it's been uncomfortable since I've had it. I do like the look of it though. Grin Anyway, I was telling my mum this and she said she'd been stuck as to what to get me for my birthday so offered to buy me a new chair. Found one online (One that says it's comfortable and the reviews agree.) and she got it for me! I've not had that much spent on a birthday present for me before. I can't wait, this chair is so hard and uncomfortable!

OP posts:
BorderlineHappy · 11/11/2021 20:57

@73kittycat73 I like food,🤣
I'll give anything a try.
Sorry to hear about the insomnia, glad you managed some sleep anyway.

PaperMonster · 11/11/2021 22:34

@73kittycat73 - lottery tickets:why didn’t I think of that?! Must do it!

I’m bloomin amazed by the amount I’m walking tbh! It must be doing me some good! I have some jeggings that I haven’t been able to wear all year because I couldn’t pull them up with my dodgy arm, they were always a snug fit - wore them last week and they’re falling down!!

Sorry to hear about your insomnia, I’ve only briefly suffered from it myself during locks but it’s bloomin awful, so hugs for that xx

And hurrah for your new chair! What a treat!

73kittycat73 · 13/11/2021 10:46

Good morning everyone. Smile I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Any plans? It's freezing here atm. Have given in and put my heating on. Hands still cold though! Still had trouble getting to sleep last night. Watched a few episodes of South Park (I know, screens in the bedroom. But if I'm not sleeping I don't see it as bad. It also helps me eventually drop off.) in bed.
Well done on that NSV PaperMonster! Star I'm going the opposite way. Tops that were loose are not getting tight fitting...Sad
Anyway, have a really good day everyone, I hope you have a lovely weekend. Smile

I've got uni assignments to do. I'm really struggling, it's the referencing really. I think if I didn't have to do that I'd be ok! So stressful, don't think I'll have a particularly fun weekend. Might try and persuade ds to come for a walk with me later, it's nice and autumnal with all the leaves down.
