Aaaaaw, lovely @BorderlineHappy. My favourite picture of my old cat is one taken when he was a kitten and is all tangled up in the duvet when I was changing the cover - a cute little face peeping out!!

Hurrah, it is just a cold. Was hoping I’d feel somewhat better this morning but sadly not. Think I’m just going to run with the eating whatever for the duration then back to normal afterwards.

@WreckTangled fingers crossed it’s not covid for your daughter x

@BorderlineHappy thanks. Zero plans here! OH has to isolate for a medical procedure, the weather is appalling and I feel dreadful.

Hi guys. Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. Had Sainsbury's due, then went in my mum's flat all afternoon as I was waiting on Argos (For my winter duvet.) and you can hear the door better in hers. (Have tried a ring type doorbell before but even with a signal booster it didn't work.)
Had a visit from my brother and nieces. It was lovely to see them. Then came in to watch Strictly and Blankety Blank, then knitted. Woke up in the early hours feeling awful! Really hot and nauseated and like I was busting for a wee, but couldn't go! Have felt crappy on and off since then. I blame my brother. His job has him go in peoples houses and when he first started he kept passing bugs onto us all whilst he developed a strong immunity, so I'm blaming him now for this one! lol

Dds Covid test came back negative. The weather was awful yesterday we had flash floods everywhere and my poor Tesco delivery driver was really late because of it.

We had a roast tonight which was nice.

I'm feeling OK at the moment thank you PaperMonster. Not 100% but a lot better than this morning! Apart from the sneezes, how are you?
I've not long watched Blankety Blank, they had the reruns with Terry Wogan on Challenge so I've watched them there. I like Jonny Vegas too. Lol at your daughter and Mr Bean! How is your OH doing? We had bad, bad weather yesterday but it's not been too bad today. Supposed to be bad again on Tuesday again though. Wednesday and beyond is supposed to be warming up. That's because I bought my winter duvet.
Hi WreckTangled. I've never had a UTI before, though my mum has suffered with them this past year. I've been going ok today, no pain on passing, but I do keep feeling like I need a wee, so will keep an eye on it as per your observation, thank you.
Yay that your DD's covid test was negative! You had the bad weather too huh? It was windy and rainy and everything here yesterday. Just a few showers and sunshine today though. Glad your shopping turned up though! My Sainsbury's did amazingly. Me and my mum joke that one drop of snow, and Sainsbury's cancel.

For me the needing a wee when I don't need it is a typical sign. I ordered it one dipsticks on Amazon to test myself as it's easier than taking a sample to the doctors. I don't always get pain, it's because the bladder is being irritated by the infection I think.

Struggling with levels again today even though I've eaten really low carb. Either my pump isn't working properly or my body is fighting off dds cold. I will change my pump later to see if that helps.

Ooh, I'll have to get some of those sticks then, thanks for the idea. Just felt tired today. Was up in the night with acid reflux. Went for a nap about four pm and woke up about 15 minutes ago. Feel full of cold again. I hope yours doesn't take hold. Have you tried changing your pump? I hope your levels are OK. Take care. (((hugs)))

I didn't change it but it's all good this morning thankfully.

Glad you are back to normal. I have decided to 'cut down' again from Thursday (Because that's when my shopping is due.). I have been eating much too much rubbish and reckon I've gained back at least a stone. Going to weigh in Thursday morning and go from there.

Hello all. I’m ok but this cold is refusing to budge. Can’t go to bed now as I would like as I’ve to go an pick up my daughter from her activity. I’ve also lost my voice and am coughing like crazy of an evening. OH is ok thanks @73kittycat73. He’s been in hospital today for a minor exploratory procedure but nothing’s been found so he needs to go back to the GP and see what’s next.

Aww, I'm sorry you have to go out feeling so rough PaperMonster. Sounds like you've got a hum dinger of a cold there! I hope you get better soon. I'd have a scone too. Did you have jam and cream too?
Hi BorderlineHappy. Kittens look so cute...But looks can be deceiving. I remember one Christmas my cat 'helping' me to fluff out the Christmas tree. My hands were like ribbons afterwards! He made me laugh though so no hard feelings. Their teeth and claws are so sharp aren't they?

WEnt in to town yesterday to buy some new clothes.
But I just felt so overwhelmed.
I don't know what size I am.
I automatically went for my normal size.
But I put it back.
So I picked up a size 14 top and leggings and they fit.

But it's taking my head a long time to catch up.
I keep thinking I'm still a size 18/20.
That's going to take a while to sink in.

Indeed I did have jam and cream @73kittycat73!! I also took one to the elderly lady I clean for/keep company on a Tuesday afternoon- she was very pleased with it!!

@BorderlineHappy - a great feeling no doubt being able to fit into smaller clothes! Well done! I think it does take some time to sink in though. I can’t decide whether I’ve lost weight or my leggings have had their day, but they kept falling down yesterday and usually they’re such a good fit!! OH says I’m shrinking though! Although I’m not consciously trying to.

This cold keeps waking me up early- my head feels sort of infected from lying down if that makes sense. So I have a cracking headache. Anyway, the forecast is a sunny day here today, hurrah! I only have an hour’s work today so I can relax a bit too! Enjoy your day everyone!

Yay on the size 14's BorderlineHappy! Do you find you catch your reflection and think, 'Who's that?' Lol. Your head will catch up soon I'm sure. I had trouble finding a bra that fits a while ago. I think I tried about 4 different sizes of the same style bra! Got there in the end.
Aww, that's very nice of you to keep your friend company like that PaperMonster. I'm glad she was pleased with your baking.

I'd take the leggings falling down as a win. Don't forget, now you are back at work you are a lot more active which I'm sure will be contributing.
I hope your headache cleared up? Perhaps try sleeping with your head a bit higher? An extra pillow?

@73kittycat73 I’ve decided that yesterday my knickers were obviously too big and that is why my leggings kept falling down!!! today they’ve been fine!!

Still have a headache but am feeling a bit better today. I tried sleeping with a cushion on my pillow last night - woke up and I’d managed to move right down!! Will try an actual pillow tonight, but I’m propped up in bed now and I’m cough, cough, cough!!

I did some housework- just made sure downstairs was looking respectable as my parents were visiting this evening!

Aww, sorry to hear you're still full of cold. I hope you manage to enjoy your visitors later. Are you taking anything for your cold? I was just reminiscing with my mum the other day about having Vic's rubbed on your chest as a kid. Worked though!
I weighed in today. I've put on 24lbs! Was 11st 6.8lbs, now 13st 2.8lbs. I feel in the right frame of mind to tackle it atm though. We'll see how I feel tonight though! (Night time is my 'danger' time. When I snack the most.)

Ate nothing but shite the past few days.
Have to get back to my walking and eating proper.

I've been on a chocolate binge but have been to the gym three times this week. Can't win them all also got fuel but it was really expensive. Only had 40 miles left in the tank and drove past two empty stations before I found one.

Hello all and thank you, am feeling much better although this blessed cold really is lingering on!!

Went out with friends for a meal last night and I decided did this, I’m having the pudding!! It was a set price for the three courses so I’d paid for it anyway! It was a chocolate orange gateau, and wasn’t a massive slice so was just right!

Thursday/Friday are my busy days and I think I’m going to have a red hot bath tonight and a glass of gin and see if they’ll get rid of this cold once and for all!!

Seems I am in good company... I didn't last the night. I couldn't sleep and was still up at 3am and binged. Peanuts and Cashews, Popcorn, and a bit of marshmallow. I'm going to try really hard tonight. I've already brushed my teeth and am half in pjs (bottom half still day clothes.) tv turned off, tablets taken, etc. So just need to get into bed.

Anyone got any plans for the weekend? Perhaps this is not a good time to mention QVC have Christmas food on nearly all day tomorrow.
My plans, for tomorrow morning is tidy/clean out the top built in cupboard in my bedroom. I think it's full of old Christmas stuff. I need the space to put some items in there. I'm using the space this frees up to stash my wool and paraphernalia. Tiny flat, it's like playing Tetris at times! lol
