Yes I had a good weekend, forgot about Strictly though

Got a gorgeous new kitten Today.
His name's Rocco and he's a beaut.
He's certainly liftedy spirit.

Tried on the hoodie today PaperMonster, they certainly keep you warm! Lol, naughty daughter nicking yours. I can see why though.
Sorry to hear about the rain. We are forecast some for tomorrow but Wednesdays supposed to be good. How did you busy days go last week?
Hi BorderlineHappy, Rocco sounds delightful! What colour is he? Just watch your toes in bed. Had a kitten once (Called Bart, as he was mischievous. ) who used to attack my toes poking out the end of the bed. Not a nice way to be woken up! lol I hope you get lots of lovely snuggles from Rocco and it's lovely to hear he has made you feel good already.

@73kittycat73 my busy days were busy as expected but lovely! Am feeling kind of extra busy this week somehow even though I’m only doing two hours extra! Which is daft!

The rain is dreadful- looking at the forecast it’ll be 10th October before our next dry day!!

He kept me awake all night 😅

Kitten claws are like needles! We got our ageing cat one of those bowl contraptions that mean she doesn’t have to bend down to eat. Came yesterday and she seems to like it! Hoping it will help stop her being sick so often.

He's 6 weeks old and he's asleep on me now😅
But I got a phone call from the Dr yesterday.
Seems they need to send me for some more blood tests.
Something to do with the way my blood clot.
She's sending me a prescription for folic acid.

And I've fallen out with my son.
Could this year get any worse

My levels have been a bit high since my flu jab/Covid booster. Hopefully settle soon.

We haven't got any fuel round here it's a complete nightmare. I'm talking within sixty mile radius.

That’s crazy @WreckTangled. Thankfully we’re ok here. We have a petrol station in the village and they did run out the day before their next delivery.

I’m full of a cold and have taken to my bed this evening. Can’t sleep but no energy to read or watch TV.

Other son fell and now do is in a &e with him.
His thumbs are swollen and he can't straighten his hands.
Seriously I'm just sick of all the crap being thrown at me.

Ouch to you too, PaperMonster. 5.20?! The bowl you got for your older cat sounds like a lovely thing to do for her. I'm sure she really appreciates it. I love older cats. They seem to have as much personality as kittens. Even when they get grumpy!
Hi WreckTangled, how's your BS levels now? Sorry to hear about the troubles you are having finding petrol. Do you use your car often? It's madness isn't it? Some news outlets are saying the demand is easing, others are saying it's still as bad...The world (The UK?) seems to have gone mad atm!

Oh borderline what a nightmare

Yes I do. We don't have public transport where we live. I've been able to wfh this week but won't be able to from Monday. I've managed to get a Tesco delivery for Saturday so that saves me going anywhere, I'm guessing the delivery drivers get first dibs on the Tesco fuel so should be ok for them.

OH dear, I hope you get some fuel by Monday then. Apparently the government released 80 fuel lorries it has on standby for such a situation so more fuel should be coming soon.
I had a Sainsbury's delivery on Monday and the driver said that Sainsbury's had fuel that was specifically for the delivery trucks. Maybe Tesco has done the same?

Dh went and got some last night. Queued for 90 mins and then half an hour later they ran out again. Some poor person ran out of petrol in the queue so dh helped push them to the forecourt. Nightmare.

@73kittycat73 she’s now decided not to eat any meat from the bowl. She’ll do biscuits though. She’s such a fussy madam.

Ordered a covid test. Will do it later. Not in work today or tomorrow cos I feel so rough. Ugh. Not making great food choices - but I’m so hungry!

@WreckTangled the fuel situation sounds really serious where you are. It really hasn’t been so bad here. OH was worried about whether he could get some as he has a fuel card that can only be used at certain places. He had to queue for half an hour but managed to get some. It was kind of your OH to help the other driver out. It is indeed a nightmare.

Thanks turned out he has a badly bruised hand.
Nothing broken thank god.

I coudnt find the kitten this morning.
Turns out he has a hiding place under the chair.
Hes there now having a snooze.
Just have to be careful not to sit down to fast.After all i dont want to squash him.

That fuel business sounds awful.
Hopefully it gets sorted before things get too serious.

Oh yes, can remember cats and fussiness PaperMonster. Used to drive me nuts! One week they had a firm favourite, next time you buy it they won't touch it but will only eat the one they turned their nose up at before... Gotta love 'em though!
Funny you should say about hunger. I've been feeling quite off since the weekend but for the first few days I was starving no matter what I ate. I hope you feel better soon, and haven't got covid. ((((hugs)))

It's amazing what places the kittens get themselves into, isn't it? I once had a kitten and searched the place for him as I couldn't find him. Even went looking outside just in case he had somehow managed to get out. Found him two hours later in the back of my bedroom cupboard. Snoozing away while I was worried silly!

I had a Chinese last night and am paying for it with high sugar levels now

@73kittycat73 glad you’re feeling better. There’s both covid and colds going round school. Daughter had a cold last weekend. Have tested, just waiting results. Hoping it is just a cold.

Dd has a temperature so needs a PCR. As you say there's lots of colds going around so won't know until we test.
