I pigged out on Skinny bars last night and am paying the price this morning...Blush
Hope you are all ok? No plans for me today. Gonna get in the shower in a bit.
Someone ate the food we left out last night but obviously could have been any one.

I hope he comes home soon too. We are leaving food out again tonight in case it is him, to encourage him to come back. We are 'phoning Cats Protection on Monday to see if they will lend us a cat trap.
I like retail therapy. Grin Did you buy anything nice? Today I've bought (On line.) a pair of trousers, a bra and a top. Still want those Christmas shoes I posted. Xmas Grin I have nothing to go with them, but I want them. Grin

Ooooh, I quite like those! I’m tempted! Far more practical than the Irregular Choice ones!!

I’ve been to Blackpool today. I’ve walked eight miles and I’m shattered!!

Rubbish news about George. Fingers crossed that he comes home soon xx

BorderlineHappy · 15/08/2021 07:11

Buy the shoes @73kittycat73 they look adorable.
Office had a sale bought 2 pairs of boots for a tenner each
Bought my 2 grandsons an umbrella each.
Spiderman and Paw patrol.
They were delighted with them.

WreckTangled · 15/08/2021 07:26

Those shoes are cool!

I've found these puddings in Aldi, so tasty!

Gym this morning, maybe a walk later as it's meant to be a nice day. Not sure what we're going to do next week as I'm absolutely broke so will probably have the dc moaning at me all day. (We live in the middle of nowhere so can't get anywhere without spending a ton in fuel either).

PaperMonster · 15/08/2021 08:31

Oh wow @WreckTangled, I’m deffo looking for them next time I’m in Aldi! I don’t often go but they do a lovely frozen low carb chicken and spinach curry which I periodically stock up on.

We’re middle of nowhere too. Not made any plans for this week. We’ve a church fundraiser this afternoon though so will pop along to that.

Great bargain @BorderlineHappy! Can’t beat a footwear bargain!!

Fingers crossed that George makes an appearance today! X

BorderlineHappy · 15/08/2021 09:58

@WreckTangled I love those puddings.
Always have one after dinner
Have the money for the gym,so I'm joining this week.
So nervous though.

On another note anyone hate moaning to their family.
Feels like I'm fishing for compliments when I moan about the weight not moving🤣.

WreckTangled · 15/08/2021 10:10

Borderline can you get an induction? I had three induction sessions that gave me the confidence to use the machines and free weights I wanted. Now if I'm not sure on something I just Google it Grin

73kittycat73 · 15/08/2021 19:20

Ooh, was Blackpool good PaperMonster? I've never been. That's some walk you got in there! Star How did the fundraiser go? You like the look of the Christmas shoes too? I can't afford them now 'till next week. If they're still there then, I will buy them. Xmas Smile
Hi BorderlineHappy. Smile Well done on signing up to the gym! Star I'd do what WreckTangled suggested and see if you can get an introductory session.
Sorry to hear you're broke too WreckTangled, though I'm lucky I don't have any dependents. Could you not go for walks where you live (Or are you really bored of that?!) to spot wildlife? Do you have any board games you could play?
What did the new pudding taste like?
Still no sign of George, though the food is being eaten. We are contacting the Cats protection tomorrow, see if we can borrow a trap.

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 15/08/2021 20:27

@73kittycat73 what kind of trap will they give you, is it like a cage?

Blackpool was busy and noisy! We went to see a show - it was last year’s birthday present to my daughter which had been postponed twice. Plus a ride in a horse and princess carriage, fairground rides and walks on the beach. Whilst I found it busy a couple of people I spoke with who were selling ice cream etc said they’d had really slow days!! Not somewhere I like going, but daughter loves it.

The fundraiser went well, although it did involve me eating a scone with jam and cream! And normally I’d go for a walk to help lower levels, but am so exhausted after Blackpool I came home and had a nap!!!

73kittycat73 · 15/08/2021 20:47

Just found this article on carbs. Might interest others?
Yes, it's like a cage but you put the food at one end of it and as they go in for the food it sets of the door to shut so they can't get out. Explained that well didn't I?! lol Grin I will stay up though in case we trap any non-George cats.
Blackpool sounds great. I'd love to go on the princess carriage. Grin
Glad the fundraiser went well. Uum, jam and cream scone...drools I don't blame you for having a nap!
Just a heads up, QVC are doing a 24 hour Christmas event. It starts tonight at 9pm (So 25 hours really.) with their Today's Special Value (I don't know what it is yet.) and continues midnight to midnight. I hope it's good!

BorderlineHappy · 16/08/2021 18:36

I have bought some oxtails for dinner on Wednesday.
I havent had them in years.

Also made some roasted veg, supposed to do me tomorrow as well.

Except i have eaten them all.😋😋

WreckTangled · 16/08/2021 18:57

The pudding is delicious! Like those cheap chocolate puddings with the squirty cream on top that you can get. Ds doesn't mind going for a walk but dd hates it. DH is off next week so we will do some nice things then.

73kittycat73 · 16/08/2021 19:56

Hope you enjoy the ox tails BorderlineHappy. Smile I've never tried them. Shame you ate all your vegetables! lol Have you joined the gym yet?
Ooh, glad the pudding was nice then WreckTangled. Smile Do you yourself like going for walks, or do you side with DD? I hope you manage to plan some nice things to do next week then.
I haven't bought anything from QVC today but I'm very tempted by their Joe and Steph's popcorn advent calendar! I love popcorn but was put off eating it when I read that one in 5 visits to the dentist (In America I believe?) is because of pop corn. I hate munching away then you hit a hard one...But apparently J & S's filter their popcorn so shouldn't have any hard ones.

No gym just yet.Spent all my money on kids going back to school.Any sign of George @73kittycat73.

PaperMonster · 16/08/2021 20:03

@WreckTangled I too have a daughter who hates walking - eight miles around Blackpool she can manage, but two miles around the village, noooooo way!!

I’ve just had a tidying up kind of day. Plus my village walk!

WreckTangled · 16/08/2021 20:04

Yes paper dd is just like that!

I like a walk on my own listening to a podcast. Not so much with other people Grin

73kittycat73 · 17/08/2021 21:30

Nope, still no sign of George and the cats protection haven't phoned back yet...
I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning...If I've lost 2lbs I would be so chuffed. Smile

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 17/08/2021 21:41

Oh George, do hurry up home you little rascal.

@WreckTangled is she pre-teen? Am pretty sure you’ve mentioned her age before and she’s just a bit older than mine who’s ten.

Fingers crossed for the 2lbs @73kittycat73!!

Went on an info zoom about a potential course this morning. Would love to do it but my new working schedule from Sept includes an hour in the middle of each day and the course is a full day so disappointed about that.

Been for a two mile walk this evening. My arm pain is going down into shoulder blade and mid spine at the moment. Not sure why. Need to lie more on my acupressure mat.

73kittycat73 · 17/08/2021 21:52

Thank you. Smile What a shame about your course. Is there no way round it? Ie, in the future, next 6 weeks holiday?
Hope you enjoyed your walk. Sorry to hear about the pain you are in. Does the mat help?

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 17/08/2021 22:10

The mat is good. Really helps. They have set start dates for the course and they last 12 weeks - it’s one of these Covid funded ones. Will keep my eyes open for something else though.

I also had a low carb splurge today: lo dough; not cross buns and bread rolls; and finally Cheesies!

BorderlineHappy · 18/08/2021 06:59

Morning.
Hope you hear about George soon @73kittycat73.

Pity about your course @PaperMonster,hopefully you get something soon.

I think i have read that much about TDEE i have confused myself.
Anyone want to give me a hand.
Im 12 stone 2, 5 ft 3 and 48.

I met a df of my dps the other day.
He said he didnt recognise me.But he text my dp to say when i said hello,it took him a minute to realise it was me.

He said i looked fantastic and obviously the healthy eating and exercise agrees with me.

And i have lost loads of weight.
I was really chuffed,

73kittycat73 · 18/08/2021 07:06

That's a shame then PaperMonster. Glad your mat helps your pain though. I like the sound of your splurge! Grin
Hi BorderlineHappy. Smile I use this calculator: here
I bet you feel so chuffed with what your Dh Df said, and so you should be! It's nice when someone notices isn't it? Well done on all your hard work! Star
I weighed in today...I've lost 4.4lbs! Very pleased with that. Grin
