Thank you all. Smile Have been buying more bits for Christmas today. Almost ran out of funds until a few weeks from now. (I save some every month.) Found a lovely shop recommended on the Christmas boards, it's here . It sells some beautiful items. I'm going to wait until after Christmas in case they have a sale. Xmas Smile I love the look of their mobile decorations.

So happy I've finally seen movement

PaperMonster · 20/08/2021 18:15

Well done @BorderlineHappy you’ve done really well!

I’ve walked ten miles today - I can’t quite believe I’ve done that!!

BorderlineHappy · 20/08/2021 18:33

@PaperMonster thats great.

I have just had a chinese takeaway.Probably put the 5 lb back on😂

PaperMonster · 20/08/2021 19:30

Lol! Fingers crossed it stays off!

The amazing thing about my ten miles is that it is actually walking in one building!!

73kittycat73 · 20/08/2021 21:11

Yay, congratulations BorderlineHappy! Star I'm so glad the scales are moving again for you. Smile You've done so well. Do you have a weight goal? I want to get down to 11st, then maintain till after Christmas, then maybe start again. Well done though!
Well done on your 10 miles too PaperMonster! Shock Star How big was the building?! Grin
I couldn't sleep last night and came on here to pass some time. Ended up reading [https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4326598-To-ask-you-to-tell-me-the-weirdest-spookiest-thing-you-ve-experience this spooky thread] and felt a bit creeped out. Managed to go back to bed after and sleep though. Grin Warning, only read in daylight with others around! Grin

3rd times a charm @73kittycat73😂
Ye I want to get down to about 9 stone.
But I have it set for 11 on my app.
Easier to move it rather than depressing myself.

73kittycat73 · 20/08/2021 22:14

It certainly was. Grin
I'd like to get down to 10st, but am happy to get down to 11 (6.8lb to go) and stay there for a while. I just hope I don't put too much on over Christmas! Grin What method are you using? I'm calorie counting.

OP posts:
BorderlineHappy · 21/08/2021 05:28

I'm cc'ing as well.

PaperMonster · 21/08/2021 09:09

OMG I started reading that thread last night then quickly came off it - I’m on my own this weekend and I thought I’d probably scare myself!!

The building is actually a church! I clean it. Am back in there this morning as there’s a wedding so I’ll clean up after the florist has been. I absolutely love cleaning that place. I have had so many lovely experiences whilst doing so!

I went for a family meal on Thursday- first time going out like that since before Covid I think! I managed to stay low carb too, so that was great!

PaperMonster · 21/08/2021 18:49

Five miles walked today. Was going to go for a walk this evening but it’s chucking it down! Enjoying the peace and quiet of being on my own!

73kittycat73 · 21/08/2021 19:53

Hello ladies. Smile That thread is a tad unnerving isn't it? Grin Do you have any pets with you this weekend? I always remember when I moved into my first flat on my own I got a cat, because cats are sensitive to this stuff. I wasn't scared of burglars but if the cat got spooked I'd be out of there! (Luckily never happened. Smile )
Well done on low carbing with the meal out. Star What did you have?
How's the diet going today BorderlineHappy? Last night, lying in bed, I really 'got it.' I was in the zone. I thought, 'I can do this! It's easy!' An hour later I couldn't sleep as the craving for chocolate was so bad! lol

PaperMonster · 21/08/2021 20:02

I have an old lady cat who tries, daily, to kill me. I locked her out of the bedroom so she didn’t try to wake me at daft o clock this morning.

I had a cauliflower poke bowl. Not sure if it was supposed to have noodles in - I encountered two!! So I thought I might as well eat them. There was a lot of green veg in and a flavoursome sauce. I guess the sauce would have been sugary but there wasn’t much of it, it was like a coating rather than a dollop!

WreckTangled · 21/08/2021 20:09

Oh I fell off the thread. Apologies. I had chicken sausages and roasted cauliflower for dinner which was pretty nice now having some 85% chocolate. A week tomorrow we're going to a festival and I'm in two minds about what to do.

Option A: stick to low carb, take a low carb bun with me and can ask for a burger in it (not sure what my other options would be?). Pros: means I won't struggle with rollercoaster blood sugar levels all day and won't eat back all the calories from the past week. Cons: I could miss out on some really tasty food like churros 🤤

Option B: eat whatever I please as it's only one day. Pros: I could eat some really tasty food. Cons: rollercoaster sugar levels and overeating calories.

My future self would thank me for option A. Unless I die the following day then my future self would be full of regret Grin

WreckTangled · 21/08/2021 20:09

Actually I didn't fall off I've just realised this thread isn't showing in the threads I'm on 🤔

PaperMonster · 21/08/2021 20:45

@WreckTangled I don’t always get notifications! Your tea sounds very tasty. I think I’d be tempted to go with Option A myself.

BorderlineHappy · 22/08/2021 15:27

Hello everyone,hows your Sunday going.
Bit out of sorts today.

@WreckTangled I would take option A but eat the churros.

73kittycat73 · 22/08/2021 19:14

Hello everyone. Smile Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit unsettled today BorderlineHappy. Is there something causing it, or it's just come out of the blue?
Yup, sounds like a typical cat PaperMonster. Grin
Hi WreckTangled. Smile I don't know what I'd do. Actually, I'd probably go with option B. Grin Only you know though how you feel eating that kind of feed. Would your BS instantly respond or is it a day later thing?

OP posts:
73kittycat73 · 22/08/2021 19:14

*Eating that kind of food

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 22/08/2021 19:41

It would instantly respond and probably take a good few days to get back to being normal. It’s so hard, I wish I could just eat whatever. Humph. The trouble is there’s always going to be an occasion or an excuse so I need to stick with it all the time really. I’m an all or nothing kind of person too.
