I got my haircut and I don't like it.
She didn't really do what I wanted.
But it was free in a training academy.

PaperMonster · 06/08/2021 07:20

Oh no @BorderlineHappy! Will it grow out quickly? (Mine is slow growing hair but driving me up the wall currently because it’s way overdue a cut and colour!)

@73kittycat73 re pain meds, I’m on cocodamol which I was on for me osteoarthritis (hence all my walking, really helps the OA) so that’s been increased. The GP said there’s nothing else they can give me because of the Diabetes. Am going to follow up my X-ray on Monday.

Big drive back home today!

BorderlineHappy · 06/08/2021 07:51

@PaperMonster ye my hair grows pretty fast.
I think it's the way she dried it
It has "May I speak to the manager" vibe 😂😂.

Hopefully you get some good news from the x-ray on Monday.

Snap again BorderlineHappy. I had my hair done today. Ended up nothing like that video I posted. It wasn't too bad when she'd styled it but upon brushing it I now look like Adolph Hitler. Yes, it's that bad. Sad I've ordered some hair clay in with my shopping this week so will try and do something with that. It looks nothing like how I wanted it. Sad I hope you manage to do something with your that you like. It's really shit isn't it?
Hi PaperMonster. Is co-codamol the one that bungs you up? I hope not. (My mum was prescribed something like that and gave her really bad constipation.) Does it do much, pain wise? Good luck with Monday's X-ray. I really hope it helps. Flowers Good luck with the long drive back too.
Are you going to do a fill your own Advent Calendar for yourself too? Go on, you know you want to! Grin
You OK wrecktangled?

I'm ok thanks. I keep waking up with a sore throat. I've done a couple of LFT's and they've been negative. Currently at the gym and it's raining so hard my feet are soaking and driving in was horrendous!

PaperMonster · 07/08/2021 08:39

@73kittycat73 yes Cocodamol is the one that tends to bung people up, but I tend not to have a problem with it. It eases the pain but doesn’t get rid of it. And it helps me to sleep. I can’t have two together during the day as it makes me drowsy.

Drive back was ok until we got stuck in a traffic jam for half an hour, five minutes from home!!

Then I went to bed and napped for a couple of hours!

Sorry to hear about your hair not being right too. I’m desperate for mine doing, must book today!

73kittycat73 · 07/08/2021 19:34

Sorry to hear about your throat WreckTangled. Aw, cold wet feet! It did rain here this morning and once in the afternoon, but luckily it's not been cold. Going to the gym you say/ So you are back on it? I have decided to maintain for now, but it's just as hard as dieting! I have to tell myself I am on a certain amount of calories daily or I'll just put all the weight back on. Have stuffed myself silly these past few days! Still, I'm going to try again tomorrow. I don't want to put any weight back on. Gah!
Hi PaperMonster. Smile Glad to hear you don't have that side effect then! Do you suffer with your sleep? I know you say you sometimes take naps but do you do alright at night? I was awake till 54am this morning. Couldn't sleep. Just wasn't tired. Did you book your hair appointment? I really don't like mine. Sad It's nothing like I wanted it. In the back it's supposed to be an undercut but instead she's layered it and graduated it. The side is well...Sad
Sorry for being such a negative nelly tonight! I have some good news though instead. My mum is adopting a cat from The Cats Protection on Thursday. We've been online shopping today and bought a bed, lots of treats, wet cat food and biscuits, including Dreamies. Grin He's a big ginger tom, about 10 years old. Can't wait for him to come home! Smile

Yes back at the gym since last week. Avoiding the leg press! That's exciting about the cat, our cat is from cats protection, let me see if I can find a photo of him.

Love an afternoon nap paper!

WreckTangled · 07/08/2021 19:55

Here he is Grin he's massive.

BorderlineHappy · 07/08/2021 20:26

@WreckTangled he loves his comfort🤣

WreckTangled · 07/08/2021 20:31

He's 13 so not a young thing anymore! He loves people and attention though. and scratching on our door at 6am

73kittycat73 · 08/08/2021 04:11

Aww WreckTangled he's beautiful! I like the way he's 'helping' you with your jigsaw there. Grin How's it going at the gym? Well done for getting back into it. Star
How are you BorderlineHappy?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 08/08/2021 08:40

It's going well thanks. Sore today after yesterday! Yes he always sits on puzzles and wrapping paper HmmGrin

BorderlineHappy · 08/08/2021 09:56

@73kittycat73 I'm doing well thank you.
I seem to be back in a good headspace.
Back toy walking and healthy eating.

I gave myself a good talking to🤣

Hope you are well.

73kittycat73 · 08/08/2021 11:53

Oh, I need a good talking too! Smile I weighed myself today, 11st 9lb, so have put on another 2lb. Have done my TDEE and it's 1688. Back to maintaining tomorrow. (Sainsbury's due today and have some doughnuts coming that need eating up. Blush Grin )
I like how your cat helps WreckTangled. Grin How are they with the Christmas tree? I think my mum's cat is built for comfort rather than speed. lol
Good on you BorderlineHappy. It really helps to be in the right mindspace. That's why I'm not dieting atm, just not in the right frame of mind. Maybe in a while though, who knows?
Have you booked your hair appointment yet PaperMonster? I hope you aren't in too much pain today. Flowers

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 08/08/2021 11:56

He doesn't care about the Christmas tree one bit! He's really chilled, he only ever runs when he sees a dog coming, otherwise he will just be sleeping or lying with you hitting you until you stroke him.

BorderlineHappy · 08/08/2021 12:45

Yes I was craving some wine but ate crap instead.Lesser of 2 evils.
@73kittycat73 just maintenance for now, you'll know when the right time to get back to the grindstone.

73kittycat73 · 08/08/2021 21:47

Been buying Christmas presents...For me! I used to play The Sims a lot and was browsing Amazon when I saw a new expansion pack being advertised. I saw a couple of expansion packs on offer, so snapped them up! Used to love playing. According to Origin I haven't played since September 2018. I always used to cheat and give them loads of Simoleons (Their currency.) and luxury items. Grin Looking forward to getting back to playing it. Smile
Aww, he sounds really cute WreckTangled. Smile Does he take a lot of grooming, and does he enjoy it?
Well done on avoiding the wine BorderlineHappy! Star I've eaten everything in sight again today. Sad Tomorrow I am determined to stick top plan!!

PaperMonster · 08/08/2021 22:28

Hello everyone! Hope you’re all doing ok. I’ve always been known for my sleeping ability @73kittycat73!! I can have an afternoon nap and still have a good night’s sleep! And I really struggle if I have to get up early. OH still has not got to grips with the fact that I do not want to be spoken to or touched for the first two hours after waking up! It takes me an age to come to!!

We’ve been for our cat today, she’s an old lady now and really doesn’t like people other than us. And I’m not convinced she likes me cos she’s always trying to trip me up on the stairs! Found her in my garden when she was no more than 4 weeks old. Mum was probably a farm cat. Love the pics of your boy @WreckTangled. What a gorgeous colour he is!

Had a Lo Dough pizza for tea - I really do think they make a fabulous pizza base.

PaperMonster · 08/08/2021 22:28

And I wish the rain would do one - I need to get out and walk!!

WreckTangled · 09/08/2021 05:36

No he hates being brushed! We never do it. He's always taken good care of himself but this years he's had some matts that we've had to shave off.

It's raining here too, absolutely chucking it down. I'm just going to the gym then I'm not planning on leaving the house for the rest of the day.

PaperMonster · 09/08/2021 16:08

It’s glorious here! Wasn’t quite expecting such lovely weather today!

Sorry @73kittycat73 you asked twice about my hair and I forgot to reply! But no, I forgot to book and they’re not open today. Will try tomorrow! Fingers crossed they can fit me in on Thursday as my daughter’s at her friend’s then!

Spoke to hospital and I have an appointment to see someone about the results at the end of the month. So, interestingly, this arm complaint has been referred to as a rotator cuff injury but at the last MSK appointment she said it looked like I also had a frozen shoulder. Whether this was as well as or instead of the rotator cuff, I don’t know and was in so much pain I didn’t think to ask. However frozen shoulders are most common in Diabetic women aged 40-60, according to the X-ray person!

73kittycat73 · 09/08/2021 23:26

Hello. Smile I need to get some of your sleeping ability PaperMonster. My insomnia has come back with a vengeance. Was still awake until the early hours again. I'm not an early riser either, never have been. Your cat sounds so sweet. My mum had a cat right from birth to 23 years old. In the end she used to wrap him gently in a blanket and carry him around with her. He loved it. Grin He also used to love the bin men and would try following their van...!
I hope the end of the month hurry's up for you. Flowers
How are you doing today BorderlineHappy? I had been so good up until about an hour or so ago...
Did you go to the gym in the end WreckTangled? Hope you didn't get too wet! We had a bit of rain, not much, but we're supposed to have some sunny weather all this week...It's nice you help your cat with their knots. Are they very elderly? Said cat mentioned above started getting knots when he got older. We think it was lack of grooming due to age and inability. (He wasn't arthritic or in pain at all.)

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 10/08/2021 07:30

I did go to the gym and then ds and I went for a walk and splashed in the puddles and saw some duckings! He is older, he's 13 and as he's quite a large cat I would say he probably comes under elderly. He's a lovely cat though.

Ds has requested kfc today and I'm afraid I will be joining in. Yum.
