Positive stories of Pfizer if in 30s please? I’m worried

I have anxiety and meant to be getting Pfizer tomorrow. I’ve read all sorts about impact on periods. Has anyone got anything positive to say about Pfizer at a similar age? I’m about to cancel the appointment but the rational side to me says that’s so silly.

36, had pfizer a month ago - had a sore arm for three days, felt a bit tired next day for a few hours. that’s it. period arrived and went as normal

don’t personally know anyone who has had severe adverse effects from pfizer - just in my circle anyway - all 30s

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 17/06/2021 12:12

I had it. No drama at all. Bit of a sore arm. It was back in stricter lockdown so it was nice to get out of the house. The volunteers were lovely. Xx

I had mine around a month ago. No issues at all, bar a sore arm which lasted about 18 hours.

I don't know anyone who has had a bad reaction to Pfizer.

Santastealer · 17/06/2021 12:13

35, had Pfizer a few weeks ago and other than a bit of a sore arm was absolutely fine.

DH is 37 and has had both Pfizer doses now and was also absolutely fine. No side effects what so ever.

Sadagain1547 · 17/06/2021 12:14

I’m worried about periods really, don’t mind other reactions

I had the Pfizer, sore arm for a day afterwards. No side effects.

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 17/06/2021 12:15

I had mine last month. No side effects whatsoever apart from a sore arm. Was a little worried about periods as I’ve had a lot of disruption with them from a steroid injection a few months ago and I’m ttc hit period arrived when I expected it.

sunnypeaches · 17/06/2021 12:18

33, had a sore arm for 24h. No other side effects.

CormoranStrike · 17/06/2021 12:21

DD has had both Pfizer doses and she’s in her 20s. She feels much better anxiety wise for having had the jabs.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 17/06/2021 12:22

My DP, 35, had the Pfizer jab 2 weeks. He only had a sore arm which passed within a couple of days. No other side effects.

B1rdflyinghigh · 17/06/2021 12:24

I work for the NHS. Lots of colleagues have had Pfizer, myself included. I haven't heard anything about Pfizer or AZ affecting periods.

Sillyotter · 17/06/2021 12:25

I had it last bank holiday. My period was quite late but I do occasionally have long cycles so that’s not completely unusual for me. The period did feel heavier than usual but again nothing I couldn’t cope with. No other side effects and I’m not concerned

LakeShoreD · 17/06/2021 12:26

I had shivers the evening after mine but felt right as rain the following morning. Arm wasn’t even sore. Can’t comment on the period thing as I’m on the mini pill and get one once in a blue moon anyway. I know loads of people that have had Pfizer and my shivering was the worst reaction I’ve heard of. Are you worried about periods as you’re TTC? I know two people in the US who got pregnant the month after their Pfizer if it helps!

Wowcherarestalkingme · 17/06/2021 12:27

I had mine in May. No side effects at all and my period this month was the same as it always was

ChocOrange1 · 17/06/2021 12:28

My husband and I are both 30 and both had Pfizer. Neither of us had any side effects except a slightly heavy arm for a day or so.

Just had my first period since having the jab on 2nd June. Totally normal.

DollyTots · 17/06/2021 12:29

I had my first Pfizer last Saturday and only just starting to lose the feeling of weakness today. It wasn’t awful though, just not very convenient.

My period usually lasts two weeks. It stopped short at day 9 for the first time since coming off the pill 18 months ago. So one less thing to contend with I guess but could also be entirely coincidental.

I know that may not be helpful to hear but everyone’s reaction really is going to be individual.

Bells3032 · 17/06/2021 12:30

I am 32. Had my second Pfyzier in late April. Thought my mid May period was really light and put it down to either the vaccine or my previous IVF messing up my cycles. Turned out I was pregnant despite my DH's extremely low sperm count. so if anything it made me more fertile as we had about a one in million chance of ever conceiving naturally.

Other than that had a slightly achy arm and that was it. DH was the same (had his a week before mine)

WreckTangled · 17/06/2021 12:30

I'm mid 30's and had my first Pfizer in January and second in March. First one I woke in the night with a bad headache but fell back to sleep and was fine the next day. Second one I wouldn't have known I had had it. Hasn't changed my cycle at all (not on any contraception). My arm didn't hurt after either time.

JengaCupboard · 17/06/2021 12:31

36 - sore arm for 48 hours. No other effects. Period totally normal.

DeathByWalkies · 17/06/2021 12:31

My period came a couple of days late after my first dose (unusual for me) but since returned to normal.

CapitanSandy · 17/06/2021 12:31

I’ve had both doses of Pfizer and my periods since have been the same as always.

randomsabreuse · 17/06/2021 12:31

Had my first a month ago. Period arrived like clockwork as per my tracking app. Was rather hoping it would be slightly late so I could sort a smear test when I have childcare cover but no such luck...

Muddlebubble · 17/06/2021 12:32

Had both doses, 37 absolutely fine with both
