Positive stories of Pfizer if in 30s please? I’m worried

I have anxiety and meant to be getting Pfizer tomorrow. I’ve read all sorts about impact on periods. Has anyone got anything positive to say about Pfizer at a similar age? I’m about to cancel the appointment but the rational side to me says that’s so silly.

I had Pfizer yesterday and my period started today. Probably a coincidence, as I don't take note of what date it usually comes, although I di think it's a week early.

I haven't heard anything about the vaccine effecting periods, what is it you are worried about?

BiBabbles · 17/06/2021 12:40

The only thing I noticed with my period shortly after having the first Pfizer jab was the menstrual headaches I normally get were worse both in length and discomfort might have been a headache as a reaction from the jab combining with my menstrual headaches gave me a double-whammy.

Everything else was normal - no heavier, no longer, the cycle was a few days longer than my average, but still within my normal range (and just as likely due to move stress and having missed a few doses of Vitamin D - I'm on high dose that without which I get menopausal symptoms including a disappearing cycle so I track my cycles carefully).

Sore arm. Felt sick for about a day and a half that was it. Late 30s

Bit older at 44 female has both Pfizer jabs no side affects period came a week early but no different to any other month x

TeaandHobnobs · 17/06/2021 12:56

38, had Pfizer first dose, only side effect was sore arm.

First period after was a few days later than expected, and took an extra day or two to “get going”. But I’ve had at least other two periods in the last two years which have been slightly late or a bit unusual. So it might be related to the vaccine, or it might not.

Doesn’t bother me, and I count myself lucky to have had my first jab and had minimal side effects (would quite like my second now please! Grin)

Yamaya · 17/06/2021 12:56

I am 36,had the pfizer about 6 weeks ago. I had a totally normal period at the right time, and the normal amount and the normal length.

ursuslemonade · 17/06/2021 13:05

I've had Pfizer and my first period since was 2 days earlier than normal. That's it. Please don't worry.

ThomasHardyPerennial · 17/06/2021 13:12

35, had my first jab almost 3 weeks ago. Had a sore arm the next day, period arrived as usual the following week. I'm having my second jab at the end of the month (4 weeks between them).

chandyleer · 17/06/2021 13:21

I had a late period after my second dose - was rather disappointed as I was hoping I was pregnant! Waiting to see what happens with this month's period.

Otherwise I had a sore arm with the first and the Pfizer headache with the second, but nothing to write home about.

thecognoscenti · 17/06/2021 13:26

36, no side effects whatsoever - not even a sore arm. No bother at all!

abegditj · 17/06/2021 13:28

I'm early 30s, had Pfizer recently and did have some side effects, shivering, fever, tiredness etc but period has started as normal and been completely unchanged (pain/length/heaviness etc).

Verbena87 · 17/06/2021 13:30

Had mine right at the start of ivf cycle and was terrified about the impact, but my bleed came within 24 hours of the nurses’ prediction and my body is responding exactly as expected to the hormones and meds so far. I’m 34.

Verbena87 · 17/06/2021 13:30

I did feel tired and have arm ache for a few days.

A2BviaCandD · 17/06/2021 13:31

I had my first Pfizer two weeks ago. No delay to my period. Had a sore arm for 2 hours afterwards and that was it.

mrstea301 · 17/06/2021 13:33

I had Pfizer last week, absolutely no issues, not even a sore arm!

mynameiscalypso · 17/06/2021 13:33

Mid-30s. Had both jabs, no impact on periods. I think it's important to note that, if it does have an impact, it's just part of your body's normal immune response and a sign that it's working!

Troez · 17/06/2021 13:33

I had my pfizer jag on Friday, sore arm but apart from that nothing and my period has started today (on time)

cricketmum84 · 17/06/2021 13:35

I'm just 37. Had both Pfizer jabs at 36. Apart from sore arm, bit of night sweats and headache I was fine.

Apparently it's also the most effective one against the delta variant! Go get jabbed :)

PitchImperfect · 17/06/2021 13:35

I'm 35, had it a few weeks ago. All I had was a slightly sore arm for maybe 24 hours. I was also quite tired but I'd had a really busy day so that may have been unrelated! No effect on my period at all.

fartandsnap · 17/06/2021 13:37

I'm 31, pregnant and had the Pfizer jab a couple of weeks ago. No issues.

Wellysock · 17/06/2021 13:39

I had it two weeks ago. No side effects at all, just a sore arm for a day

whatswithtodaytoday · 17/06/2021 13:39

39, had Pfizer 4.5 weeks ago. Period was normal - maybe a bit more spotting than usual, but started on exactly the day I expected.

I sometimes find my period is delayed when I'm ill, so it would make sense that something that affects your immune system would have an effect.

User3253465621 · 17/06/2021 13:40

I had mine in early Feb and three periods since. All normal!

wishawish91 · 17/06/2021 13:41

Had mine, I'm 29, no side effects just a sore arm. Didn't feel it, was in and out within 20 minutes.

wishawish91 · 17/06/2021 13:41

Oh and my period came as expected
