Positive stories of Pfizer if in 30s please? I’m worried

I have anxiety and meant to be getting Pfizer tomorrow. I’ve read all sorts about impact on periods. Has anyone got anything positive to say about Pfizer at a similar age? I’m about to cancel the appointment but the rational side to me says that’s so silly.

I’m worried about the period thing too. I’m glad to see other people’s responses here.

Crunchymum · 17/06/2021 13:54

Had an extended gap between mine (15 weeks, my second appointment was fucked up and it took a while to book) but I had 3 normal periods. Just had second jab and mid cycle so not sure if it's had an effect yet.

Took a while to rebook

32, 2 doses 10 weeks apart. Absolutely nothing. Not even a red mark.

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 17/06/2021 13:56

I’ve only had the first dose but it was fine. Had a headache for a couple of days, aural migraine the day after but that could have been coincidence as I’m prone to them. I don’t know anyone who’s had bad or lasting side effects.

ChachiChichi · 17/06/2021 13:57

I had the Pfizer about 4 weeks ago (whenever the Eurovision was on!?) And I'm now pregnant!

Gullible2021 · 17/06/2021 14:02

I've had both doses, both very close to ovulation time and my periods have been absolutely normal, on time etc. I've had six periods since my first dose at the very beginning of January, so one every month and I've definitely been ovulating.

Coincidentally, I've had to have lots of gynae tests for other reasons and all my hormone levels are absolutely correct and as they should be and my pelvic ultrasounds were normal - all in the last couple of months and following my second vaccine.

Hopefully, this all reassures you.

ThirtyCharacterUsernamesOnly30 · 17/06/2021 14:02

I had a sore a for 2 or 3 days and my period a couple of weeks later. Was 1 day early.

gggrrrargh · 17/06/2021 14:06

37, had my jab end of May, didn’t feel any different. Period arrived next day which I think was about 2 days early, but wasn’t lighter or heavier than normal.

EvenRosesHaveThorns · 17/06/2021 14:09

39s here. Injection itself was painful (more so than a blood test) as into the muscle, but not afterwards and I had zero side effects..much to my surprise!

namechange6754 · 17/06/2021 14:11

Had mine about 3 weeks ago, my period is due in the next couple of days, going off my raging mood today I think my period will be arriving right on time...

Popcornbetty · 17/06/2021 14:15

I'm in thirties and had my first dose of Pfizer afew weeks ago; no issues and just a sore arm for a day or so afterwards. I've heard people who've had AZ with worse side effects but alot of postive comments about Pfizer. Periods fine afterwards and as normal.

Popcornbetty · 17/06/2021 14:17

Oh and op stay away from Dr Google, think of all the people who've had Pfizer, are fine and still getting periods! Not having the vaccine is way more risky.

GameSetMatch · 17/06/2021 14:22

Me and husband both in our 30s my husband had a slight sore arm nothing more and I didn’t even get that! We have been fine, it hasn’t messed with my periods or given me any side effects. I’m just normal we had it about a month ago.

Twizbe · 17/06/2021 14:26

I had Pfizer. No side effects beyond a sore arm for 24 hours.

I've since had my period as well. Bang on time and just as awfully heavy as normal.

queenofarles · 17/06/2021 14:31

my periods have been like clock work since I got my Pfizer shot Grin,

HitsAndMrs · 17/06/2021 15:35

Two Pfizer vaccinations, completely fine with no side effects. Had my last in May. Although I now have Covid - supposed to milder though.

1990shopefulftm · 17/06/2021 15:46

I m 26, it was a day longer and heavier than normal. Got a tranexamic acid prescription and was fine, getting my second dose as planned in August.
I had to go through parts of labour alone in November due to covid restrictions and so many staff needing to isolate made baby and I ended up ill so a worse period isn't putting me off getting my vaccine after that ordeal as hospital's still make me anxious now.

Iseeyoulookingatme · 17/06/2021 15:49

I'm 38 no side effects except for a sore arm for a day. I was very worried about the vaccine as I have an allergy to aspirin but the nurse reassured me that I wouldn't have an allergy to the vaccine and it was fine.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 17/06/2021 15:58

I had my second dose of Pfizer in April. I am 35. Absolutely no problems. The first one I had an ever so slightly sore arm but nothing else.

RRK593 · 17/06/2021 16:01

I'm 30 and had mine yesterday - honestly nothing to worry about (I know that's easy for me to say) I have a sore arm and it feels like I've been punched where I had the injection otherwise been absolutely fine! Tell the nurse your worries and they will put you at ease.

Criticalfoxhat · 17/06/2021 16:01

34, double jabbed with pfeizer. Had absolutely no effects after the first, didn't even have a mark where it went in. 2nd dose was exhausted day after and a sore arm but that's it!

Bibidy · 17/06/2021 16:03

32 here, had 1st Pfizer and period arrived as expected a couple of weeks later.

I don't want to dismiss side effects from these vaccines out of hand by any means as I know many are real, but I do think that when such a huge volume of people have a vaccine across a small time period, there are going to be a lot of people who experience unrelated issues in the following weeks. The sheer amount of people having it means that x% will likely experience, for example, a late period, but it doesn't mean it's necessarily related at all.

Scbchl · 17/06/2021 16:05

Myself and husband and ALL our friends, including one who us pregnant are between 32 to 40 and all had Pfizer and all been fine..only person who was ill was my sister who is 28 and she's allergic to bloody everything. I felt like I had a dead arm at the injection site for a day or so and that's it.
