Inspired by another thread, I'll go first.

Like:
David the science guy, so funny
Richard, a real man
Rachel's dad, mean but enigmatic
Pete, the ultimate fighting champion
Frank Jr, dippy but hilarious

Dislike:
Susan, nasty fucking bitch!!!
Emily, whiny and needy
Charlie, stuck up and boring
Judy Geller, horrible to Monica
Ursula, obviously

Chandler's dad, I mean mum.

I liked Mike, especially when he pretended to play the piano to prove he was a pianist and when he changed his name to Crap Bag.
Bruce Willis as Elizabeth's dad was so funny but I didn't like her (I don't think either of them is really secondary mind).
Oh and Paolo as the ultimate sleezebag (as they'd say).

I liked susan at first. It wasn’t until I rewatched as an adult I realised how difficult things must of been for Ross. His wife had an affair, fell pregnant with his child and yet wants her new partner to have the new partners surname and be seen as a parent as equal as him. Not saying step parents aren’t important but that’s a lot for ross to process in what appeared to be a short time!

Also as an adult I have the question, what was so awful about Janice?

Oh yeah and Kathy!! I wish she had ended up with Chandler.

Elle McPherson was really wooden. The actress who played Charlie had no chemistry with David Schwimmer.
The Tom Selleck story was a bit creepy tbh - he’d known Monica as a small child and she’d been a patient of his.

I like everyone else though. Even Emily.

I think some people here are getting Carol and Susan muddled - Carol was married to Ross, Susan is the women she marries, how is she horrible?

I loved Rachel's sisters, especially Christina Applegate, so funny.
Loved David, he was really nice and Hank Azaria is gorgeous. Also Russ was brilliant!

Hated pretty much all of Ross's girlfriends who weren't Rachel, special mentions for Charlie and Mona.

Julie was nice and I loved it when she met Russ.

I agree the Richard story is creepy, it would be OK for a 26yo to be with a 46 yo, but the fact that she knew him when she was 11 (or whatever) is a bit grim.

Susan in one of the early episodes all "it's my baby too" and expecting the baby to have her name!

Officer Goodbody (Danny Devito, the stripper).
The stoned guy and Rachel's blind date, played by Jon Lotvitz (I'm not sure if he was supposed to be the same character but he was funny.

I'm fairly sure the stoned guy and Rachel's blind date were supposed to be the same character - he keeps going off for a smoke during the date and Rachel says to him about owning a restaurant and he says he lost it (to drugs? Maybe)

Rachel's sisters were very good.

Ha ha yeah I realised the men / women thing after I'd posted, but it's purely coincidental and based on character not gender. But okay to even it out...

I liked Janice, Kathy (until she cheated) and Chandler's mum. I disliked Benjamin Hobart and Danny with the inappropriate sister.

Not sure if it's an OP thing, considering some of the language used "nasty fucking bitch" (bit ott for a television character!), or reflective of the show, which did have a bit of a trope when writing some of the 'girlfriend' characters.

I've tried to like him honest but just feel Phoebe would've been so better suited to David.

I can't stand Mike either. Too sarcastic and stuck up. Phoebe was horrible in the last few series. That thing with the bloke in hospital where she got Joey to pretend to be a doctor was so dodgy.
I ADORE Janice. The Yemen episode is the best.
