I need to watch something and cry!

I’ve been dumped by my boyfriend (who’s also a colleague) and am gutted, but also have to go into work tomorrow where everyone will be talking about it.

What can I watch so I can get some of this out?!

I’ve watched the friends reunion this afternoon which has helped slightly, but I need to up the ante now! Any suggestions?

The saddest film I’ve ever seen is brokeback mountain. The last scene makes me ugly cry every time.

Purplecatshopaholic · 13/06/2021 17:17

Long lost family. Works every time!

vampirethriller · 13/06/2021 17:17

Cargo on Netflix. The ending breaks my heart.

I’m making notes……

Can I add a slight amendment and say I need to feel slightly uplifted by it too?

A monster calls is my usual sobbing film (I’m a single parent to a young boy and it’s my worst fear) but it’s too bleak for today I think.

Thank you!

Homeward bound. The reunion scene at the end gets me every time.

Life is beautiful?

Bopahula · 13/06/2021 17:22

Do you like animal films? A dogs journey without a doubt will have you sobbing if you are.

DoubleTweenQueen · 13/06/2021 17:22

PieonaBarm · 13/06/2021 17:25

Haachi or Marley and Me. Both known in our house as "those films that make me cry"

sunshineandshowers21 · 13/06/2021 17:25

babyteeth. i was in absolute floods when i watched it the other night. it’s on netflix.

WildOrchids67 · 13/06/2021 17:26

War Horse. I saw that at the cinema and quite a lot of people were crying.

If you have time maybe put on some stand up comedy as well. That should lift you up after all the crying is done. I swear it helped me with loneliness during lockdown.

Tittyfilarious · 13/06/2021 17:26

The green mile

orangejuicer · 13/06/2021 17:27

It's a bit different but Bag full of love - Tee and Mo song might so the trick as you have a child (it does for me).

You've got mail?

BikeRunSki · 13/06/2021 17:28

In Her Shoes (film and book)

Big weepy moments, all turns out well in the end.

FionnulaTheCooler · 13/06/2021 17:30

Mamma Mia's "slipping through my fingers" scene always does it for me.
