The tissue user who puts them into the pocket or the person loading the washing machine?

Ps I will only be sharing this thread with DH if everyone agrees with me Wink

The person who was wearing the clothes.

Aprilwasverywet · 28/05/2021 21:12

The owner of the clothing item. Why would anyone else be responsible for someone else's snot and the tissue it is in?

Jizzonmy · 28/05/2021 21:12

Person wearing the clothes but I’d always advise a cautionary check from the person doing the washing

Iknowtheanswer · 28/05/2021 21:13

Omg, my pet hate! I am not grubbing around in people's pockets for dirty tissues. Or car keys for that matter. If it's in the wash, it goes in the machine.

FindingMeno · 28/05/2021 21:13

Me.

OhRene · 28/05/2021 21:15

The owner of the clothes. My children managed to learn at toddlerhood to check their pockets before putting their clothes in the wash. I will not be putting my hand in any pockets and pulling out snotty tissues! If my DH forgets to then that laundry load is his to deal with. That includes cleaning the bits from the washer.

ladygracie · 28/05/2021 21:15

The tissue user. Always.

Custardo · 28/05/2021 21:16

the person putting in washing machine woud empty pockets, take off belts etc.

if it irks you muchly, just wash your own stuff and some of the kids, and let dh wash his own stuff and some of the kids - thats what we did

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 28/05/2021 21:16

The tissue user. See also sweetie eater, crisp eater, and the person who uses screws and drill bits at work, puts them in his 6 million pockets in his work trousers, and then requests that you wash them and doesn't empty the pockets first!

PurpleBiro21 · 28/05/2021 21:16

It should be the owner of the clothes but I check it as I’ll be damned if my clothes get destroyed because someone left tissue in a pocket.

HavelockVetinari · 28/05/2021 21:17

The owner of the clothes! Otherwise it's a huge pain in the arse to go through clothing before putting it in the wash.

The tissue user is responsible.

If I'm doing the washing though I'll always do a quick check.

BiddyPop · 28/05/2021 21:18

Clothing wearer, no question

H1978 · 28/05/2021 21:18

I’m glad you all said it’s the tissue user because we always have this argument every time someone leaves one in and I get white fluff all over the clothes.

MikeWozniaksGloriousTache · 28/05/2021 21:18

The wearer. I nearly throttled DP the other day when I happened to feel a drill bit in his work trousers just as I was putting them in the wash. I don’t actively check as he’s actually good at checking his own pockets. I did put dog poo bags through the wash in my jacket the other day though Grin

WitchDancer · 28/05/2021 21:18

Definitely the person wearing the clothes. Sadly I'm usually the culprit so I have no-one but myself to get cross about it Blush

RestingPandaFace · 28/05/2021 21:19

If the clothes are in the basket they are ready to wash; tissues, rubbish, electronics etc should have been removed.

Any money found during washing is the washers!

CoffeeCakey · 28/05/2021 21:19

The person who wore the clothes. If a child then a double check by the washing machine operator might be an idea.

Bargebill19 · 28/05/2021 21:19

Who ever last wore those clothes.

Frogartist · 28/05/2021 21:19

The tissue user/owner of the item of clothing! You don't put trousers with belts still attached to them in the washing basket, or with anything in the pockets! Or socks scrunched up into little ballet. They should be ready to go in the machine at that point!

JustSaying101 · 28/05/2021 21:19

It's 100% the clothes wearer of course! Due to a -can't be arsed- 'forgetful' DP, I have to check said items, otherwise I'd end up with a washing machine full of keys, tissues, pens and God knows what else clogging up the machine Angry.

Twickerhun · 28/05/2021 21:20

The owner of the clothes 100%

NaturalStudy · 28/05/2021 21:20

@Iminaglasscaseofemotion I didn't realise you were also married to my DH. See also: pen knives, screwdrivers etc.

Doilooklikeatourist · 28/05/2021 21:20

The wearer ( but as the washer I’d usually check )
