What do you your family have at McDonalds?

Please note - I know lots of MN would never dream of feeding their kids McDonalds, but we do, occasionally!

Half term is coming up and DD wants a happy meal for the Pokémon cards (and the nuggets!). She's 8, and last time we went it felt like the happy meal wasn't really enough food. She is, granted, a very, VERY tall girl (in size 11-12 😭).

What do your 8 year olds eat there? And just cos I'm nosey, what do you have?

Ds is five and really tall (around 99th percentile). He was always still hungry and kept trying to steal his sisters when he had a happy meal so he has a box of six nuggets and a medium fries now with a Fanta. He eats just over three quarters of it usually.

Dd is not a massive McDonald’s fan but will sometimes pick at a chicken nugget happy meal. Her favourite part is the fruit shoot in all honesty.

Dh has a double cheeseburger with bacon and a large fries.

I’ll either have whatever I fancy of the specials menu or a chicken legend meal with mayo and a Diet Coke.

Loved this thread! I'm in australia and always like hearing the menu differences in these big chains.

Snap @WeCameToDance, my DS almost-5 also loves his Happy Meal with 6 nuggets. Here you get apple juice instead of Fanta etc, but probably has a similar amount of sugar so meh :)

Do you have the McFeast over there? My all-time fave, it's not typically listed on the menu boards but they'll make it if you ask for it.

Must admit I prefer Hungry Jack's/Burger King though. That's why I like the McFeast, it's the closest thing to the Real Stuff.

Yes, me. I actually went yesterday, just for a coffee and it was only after I'd ordered that I saw the advert for the strawberry lemonade, which I love, so I need to get one of those.

McDs are my 'need food quick and I want it to be cheap and hot' when out for work and because I haven't been out for work much recently, I've actually missed it, even though it's far from my favourite food.

Trouble is that they're now so busy at meal times that I CBA to queue up and have twice been, seen the queue and gone elsewhere.
