The trick is to say something controversial about the Covid Vaccine, I’ve not killed one thread since I started in on those, although I suspect a number of people are probably trying to damage my Karma now.

Temp yeah I think I've killed a few like that.

Also mentioning anything at all about unemployment, being unemployed and claiming benefits - that's also a good route to get it deleted.

I very nearly started a thread to ask this exact question! I killed about three threads this weekend

It started off OK but then went a bit shitposty and I tend to mirror the vibe - with the result I got deleted. Like people can't believe that someone with three degrees in STEM could ever be unemployed for any length of time - they sure can!

But I made a very sensible, science- based, positive comment on a covid thread, and although it didn't kill the thread ( or stop the idiot speculation) it was roundly ignored by everyone. Is being Thread Invisible a thing?

Fuzzy I've thought the same thing on a few threads. In fact I'm not even sure this post will be visible.

Maybe that's why I kill threads?? No one sees the last comment (mine) and therefore think the thread as died!!

Ohh yes I know about being invisible on threads. Until I'm not and MNHQ decide its howitzer time.

I'm rather special in that the sort of mistakes or infractions that other people get a warning for or a slap on the wrist, I get the anti-aircraft gun to the face. Seems like AS is a green flag for people to hate you.

Having said that, a cloak of invisibilty is useful - only mine works when I don't want it to too many times in the past!

Apropos of nothing, I was once browsing a zombie thread and read what I thought was an erudite, sensible and extremely well-written post.

And then found out it was written by me when I had an earlier name.

I did that too - think it was a Classics thread about job interviews from hell.
