By My Diabolical Power - all threads I post on or create are DEAD! If there is a a long-winded thread - we will kill it dead!

Urgh, thread serial killer here.
It's like not getting picked in PE all over again.
How nice it would be to be quoted, or tagged.
Obviously this will be the last post on this here thread Grin

SkunkButRug · 22/05/2021 08:01

I love the idea that thread-killing stems from being the Ultimate Authority on All Things. I'm going to hang onto that. In the silence...
And also going to give a go to using my powers for good and not evil by finding a spiky thread that needs killing.
Will report back!

I was always last to be picked in PE!

Fyredraca · 22/05/2021 11:28

Posted too soon, you quoted me, I'm filling up Grin

Peakypolly · 22/05/2021 11:31

Sometimes I kill it.
Always my comments are ignored.
I have begun to think my posts can't be seen by anyone but me!

Fyredraca · 22/05/2021 12:08

@Peakypolly I can see you Grin

Giantrooster · 22/05/2021 12:10

Ah @Peakypolly
I can see your post, give a piece of advice and I'll agree with you Smile.

Trick is not to care or look if anyone dared say something after your gold nuggets of wisdom.

Tambora · 22/05/2021 12:13

I have started a thread and killed it in one fell swoop.

Sad
Fyredraca · 22/05/2021 12:53

@Tambora
I couldn't leave you hanging like that

Tambora · 22/05/2021 14:55

@Fyredraca
I'll try again Grin

Deadringer · 22/05/2021 15:02

Me too. You are going to have to keep this thread going forever op to spare people's feelings.

SamusIsAGirl · 22/05/2021 19:25

I have returned! Spent most of today in an unheated swimming pool doing science!

I was also last to be picked for PE - weird since I lift and run 10k and obstable course races for giggles these days.

I've killed threads AND started tumbleweed threads in the same day. I think I checked my pulse to make sure I was still alive and not merely a figment of my own imagination.

Fyredraca · 22/05/2021 19:44

This could get tense cos no one wants to let anyone else be a thread killer

SamusIsAGirl · 22/05/2021 19:52

Ha! I've not only killed thread but killed my own account when an AMA thread I started went a bit shitpostey and I shitposted my own thread - got it deleted AND my account deleted without a single message of warning.
That makes me KINGQUEEN threadkilla!

OP posts:
KurtWilde · 22/05/2021 19:54

I've killed a few threads in my time. Happy to share the crown of supreme thread killer though Grin

KurtWilde · 22/05/2021 19:55

And I resurrect zombie threads in order to kill them again Grin

SamusIsAGirl · 22/05/2021 19:58

I used to kill them all the time on Usenet when at University, particularly on societies' fora.

I used to kill them all the time on Usenet when at University, particularly on societies' fora.
That takes me back! I remember when every club and special interest group had its own bulletin board, rather than just a Facebook page or group!
SamusIsAGirl · 23/05/2021 10:38

For me, it is realizing in hindsight that on one society forum it was because no one there really liked me - I was too much of a nerd. And that was Rock Soc - usually reasonably nerd friendly??!

To be honest, I found that the geekier the society, the more cliquey it was... So glad I'm not at school or uni any more!
FuzzyPuffling · 23/05/2021 15:49

Oh I think you are my people.
Recently I killed three threads in one day.

Laiste · 23/05/2021 15:54
