Roast chicken today! We haven’t had a chicken in ages. Last Sunday we had beef, the Sunday before that, pork. And before that I think it was lamb.

Chicken
Roast potatoes
Sage & onion stuffing
Roast carrots with lemon, thyme and honey
Fried cabbage with butter
Broad beans with garlic
Gravy, of course.

sittingonacornflake · 16/05/2021 11:40

Oh wow I'm so jealous of all these lunches. I REALLY fancy a roast.

We are having chicken tacos. Now I've got an idea to have a glass of wine!

Having it in the evening today as we have so many jobs to get done, but it's:

Pork steaks
Gravy with onions
Pigs in blankets
Stuffing
Yorkshire puddings
Roast potatoes
Green beans
Carrot & swede mash
Roasted parsnips

I am quite excited!

Umbongoumbongo999 · 16/05/2021 11:49

Roast chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes AND mash, homemade yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese and all the veg. I am donating blood today so can justify all the carbs.

I'm not a dessert person but the kids will probably have ice cream

MaryBoBary · 16/05/2021 11:52

@NavigationCentral I've just googled that dish and the photos don't look too appetising! Not to offend, the flavours look delicious! Is it watery or is it a thicker sauce? Do you just serve with rice or anything else?
