Words or names for things that only your household uses

Nor enough lighthearted threads on her tonight. So, what's something that you're family has a different word for.

For example, as kids, we always used to call fuzzy slippers "muffins".

Oh, and we use "Nor enough" instead of "Not enough", apparently.

Oh, and also if this is not covered on the Insurance does anyone have any experience in how much they paid for new Diverter Valve or just the Actuator?

Comote instead of remote as that’s what my son calls it and it’s just stuck

@Galaxygirl93 I'll pretend "the Actuator" is what you call your microwave.

Telemote - remote. DD called it that from around 2 and it’s stuck. She’s now 8.

I can’t think of any others off the top of my head but I’m sure there are some.

Wuggurt as dd can't say yoghurt and we now kind of just say it.
Weird as she can say every other Y word.

Meep mops for meatballs after a small couldn't say it properly 😄

We eat bapples not apples.

When ds used to get pins n needles of sat funny. He'd say he had 'fizzy feet' . That's stuck!

We all say 'this is taking for ages' (this is taking ages) and 'inside outside' (inside out) after my son.

'weatabricks'- Weetabix.

youngest DC says 'Auntdonalds' for Mcdonalds

A onesie is a onesio, as created by dc1. I now use it like it's the actual word!

My mum use to call curry Kerry and for ages we called it that to the point I actually thought Kerry and curry were two different things. Only found out when I was older she meant curry 😕

My eldest Dc used to say ' Rubber dubbers' for chicken nuggets and 'doodles' for noodles.
Took us ages to work out what she was asking for haha

We call it "Tescoids" instead of Tesco. Maybe that's not just us?

Milk is Nomnom.. my husband's native language for boobs and milk.. (Bf babes all now in their 20/30s... but it's still 'can I have a coffee with a little hot nomnom .. when at home)

My nephew called crocs sandals 'wot wots' now all of us on that side of the family do too

Different else - when my dd (2 at the time) was either trying to say, "I want something different or something else" instead she said she wanted "different else".
