It looks like a tomato that hasn't formed properly, they always look really odd (weird inside out things). The black side could be tomato seeds.

I had a dirty fake nail in Philadelphia cheese. It was absolutely disgusting. I contacted them but only later after people told me I should and they did nothing about it.

I could have gone my whole life without knowing what a sootikin was, I just had to Google it didn't I!

My guess for the photo is a blackberry but I don't know why that would be in pasta sauce. Unpleasant experience for you OP.
