Any Swifties out there?

Taylor Swift.

Her new albums I think are just amazing. Best ones I've listened to in a few years.

My favourite songs are exile from folklore and tolerate it from evermore. They really hit home because I've had similar issues with past relationships.

Anyone else ? Whenever I mention to my friends that Taylor is my new favourite artist I get funny looks!

She's just the best 🥺 don't ever grow up is a song that has an effect on me no other has and probably will. It makes me sob buckets, so beautiful. All her albums are amazing.

Slightly off topic but for those of you saying you cry at her songs like 'Best Day' should give Tim Minchin's 'White Wine in the Sun' a listen. I have cried in public at this more than once when it's popped up on Spotify and I never learn not to listen to it on the bus...Grin

I must admit some of her lyrics where she seems to be adopting British slang do make me cringe a bit. I love 'Call It What You Want' except for 'my baby's fit like a daydream'........ Tay... No. Wink

Is that why people don't like London Boy? The 'fancy you' bits?

Found my people! Loved her music for years after being introduced to her unreleased song "I'd Lie" by a friend at school, a few years before she released Fearless. I'm only slightly younger than her and feel that I grew up with her, and at the time the teenage feel of her first albums resonated strongly with me. My favourite album is Red, I wasn't a fan of Reputation at all, but love the new albums and feel like the old Taylor has resurfaced.
Saw her live at Hyde Park on the 1989 and the song that blew me away was "You are in love", when I hadn't really given it much attention after hearing it on the album - the sun was setting and the atmosphere was magical, it made me see the song in a whole new light.

I love Back to December, All Too Well, All You had to do is Stay, Call it What You Want and Cornelia Street (see username!), and loads of others.

DD is a massive fan and has got me into the music. I think she's been massively underrated as a songwriter but this is changing.
Should have seen her in Hyde Park last summer for DD's 18th birthday but it was cancelled of course.
DD has given me strict instructions to tell her future partner that a marriage proposal will only be accepted if it's made at the precise moment when Romeo kneels in Love Story!!! She's 19.

I think a lot of her stuff is a grower for me. Wasn't a huge fan of reputation or lover when they came out but persisted and love them both.

I got into her music round Red / 1989. I adored the Blank Space video. There are so many excellent videos.

My favoutrit line at the moment is from gold rush :
"I don't like that falling feels like flying til the bone crush"

And I love the little "with your hair falling into place like dominoes".

Panic at the disco have a song titled that I think? And he features on Me of the same album. It’s a very clever tie in Grin

You saw her live! So jealous!

Our friend went with her DD and didn't want to go....I said I'll take her bit no....friend ended up a complete Taylor fan and they tried really hard to get tickets for another night. Didn't work though.
