What's your most upsetting tv death?

Just watching Bones for the first time and absolutely gutted about Sweets which made me wonder which other tv deaths have upset MNers.

Lots of potential for spoilers here so apologies in advance.

CJ's bodyguard at the end of series 3 of The West Wing. Didn't see that coming at all.

And Mark Greene, obvs.

Finn on Glee
Sweets on Bones
Matthew on Downton Abbey

Mark Folwer in Eastenders.

I cried every evening for a week. DH got a bit concerned and was saying "It's not real you know."

Then he popped up in The Bill and totally messed with my mind and I couldn't watch The Bill anymore.

The most traumatic that still haunts me is Lisa Faulkner in the chip fryer in Spooks.

The one that gets me every time is Arthur in Merlin. 😩

I loved Merlin, Arthur was gorgeous and the partnership between those 2 worked really well. We knew he had to die and who would do it but still awful

Recently Dr Mendolez in The Good Doctor. I found that one quite sad even though I’d read spoilers and new it was coming.

Tv death that’s stayed with me since the episode was aired... Ronnie’s daughter in EastEnders. That seemed so extreme and bizarrely pointless.

Meredith's husband Derek in Grey's Anatomy hit me pretty hard.

Kate Rowan in Heartbeat

Not upsetting so much as very disturbing - Shireen Baratheon from Game of Thrones. Still feel sick thinking about it.

Nicola Walker’s character in Unforgotten a few weeks ago. Just didn’t see it coming.

Argh McDreamy in Grey's. I actually felt like I was grieving. So weird. Feel sad about it even now when I think about it- they loved each other so much.
