What's your most upsetting tv death?

Just watching Bones for the first time and absolutely gutted about Sweets which made me wonder which other tv deaths have upset MNers.

Lots of potential for spoilers here so apologies in advance.

The son at the end of torchwood:children of earth. I was also traumatised by that, God I'd forgotten about that.

Cassie from Unforgotten had me in tears a few weeks back

Ned Stark!! I know it's obvious but I honestly didn't see it coming and cried my heart out!!!

That is the episode I have just reached, it was soo sad first time around.

I clicked on this thread because I saw it in trending and immediately thought “Mark Greene”. But then I thought.... no one will have said that, it was soooooo long ago. So interesting that it has already been mentioned so many times. It was nearly 20 (twenty!!) years ago.

Sorry to all the people I have just made feel really old by mentioning how long ago it was.

The Body is definitely a very emotional episode.
seen it at least 50 times and still cry every time.

The two I first thought of were Lady Sybil and Barbara in Call the Midwife.

A (little) more recently - Mrs Landingham on the West Wing.
And most recently - all from It's a sin, which I found almost impossible to watch.

I’m also going to pitch in with grays anatomy - George’s death was pretty sad

Not technically tv but I didn’t like Sirius Black being killed off, a step too far in my opinion 😂
