Just watching Bones for the first time and absolutely gutted about Sweets which made me wonder which other tv deaths have upset MNers.

Lots of potential for spoilers here so apologies in advance.

Meg in Home and Away! She was young and had cancer and died on the beach at sunset in the arms of her boyfriend. This was way back in early ‘90’s. I was only 18 and it really moved me. To the point that it’s probably the only scene from home and away that I actually remember! And I doubt anyone else does!

Me too. So vividly. And poor Cathy Godbold who played her died of cancer a few years ago.

Mark Greene - ER. Cannot listen to that song. Have to turn it off. Poor Alex Kingston.

Lucy - ER.

Rachel - Cold Feet.

I’m actually getting. Sad just thinking about these.

Oh and Pippa’s baby in Home and Away who dies of cot death. And then her second husband dies. So much tragedy heaped on one character.

StormcloakNord · 23/04/2021 23:02

It's a Sin absolutely broke me. Thats recently.

Previously I think it's a toss up between Charlie in Lost or Mike Delfino's funeral in Desperate Housewives. Getting upset just thinking about it Grin

Luckyme2 · 23/04/2021 23:02

Oh I’m glad I’m not the only one who remembers Meg! Yes I think it was because I was around her age but it’s the only bit of home and away I remember!

StormcloakNord · 23/04/2021 23:03

@LaurieFairyCake omg Poussey's death in OITNB that was horrifying Sad

I gave two earlier (p.10), the first of which (Jeremy Irvine, Grange Hill) seems to have been before most people here were born.
