Just watching Bones for the first time and absolutely gutted about Sweets which made me wonder which other tv deaths have upset MNers.

Lots of potential for spoilers here so apologies in advance.

Herschel from The Walking Dead.

Followed by Glenn from The Walking Dead.

Both really cruel.

yankeedoodlecandy · 23/04/2021 19:49

Damon from the Brookside spin off Damon and Debbie

FoodieToo · 23/04/2021 19:49

OMG yes- Mark Greene in ER. Somewhere over the Rainbow. And the balloons . I cried for weeks .....They did it so well as we seemed to travle the journey of his illness with him.

Also Lucy in ER. Loved her too . Was so upset .

And Rachel Cold Feet .

Jasmine Burrows, Xaviar Duval - Holby City

I can't remember her first name, but surname was Barns, in Hollyoaks. She died jumping from a plane with a dodgy Parachute because a crazy girlfriend cut the straps before hand.

Professor Snape (then balled my eyes out when Alan Rickman passed away in 2016)

Avril and Lawrence, How We Used to Live circa 1987.

I’m still not over it.

Avril & Lawrence died?? I remember How We Used to Live from school but must have left before that happened! I remember them as youngsters that had just started dating?

Iwantmychairback · 23/04/2021 19:50

Colin. It’s a Sin
Left me heart broken for days.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 23/04/2021 19:50

Wallace in The Wire. Absolutely heart-breaking.

D’Angelo in The Wire.

Danny in Juliet Bravo. Totally traumatised young me.

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 23/04/2021 19:50

Sandra, the paramedic in Casualty many many years ago

Yellredder · 23/04/2021 19:50

The Cedar Tree when one of the daughters died. I cried all the way back to school.

ThreeLadsPointingAtAStar · 23/04/2021 19:50

Justin in Luther

HedgePutty · 23/04/2021 19:51

Can’t remember his name but on neighbours Toddies cousin, he died of a brain haemorrhage after getting out of hospital sat smiling in the street at a party.
Also a film about evacuees going on the boat to Australia, playing football in the rain on the deck and a kid slides and goes under the railings and into the sea and the ship doesn’t stop. I am now terrified and always check the bottom gap on any boat!

UrgentExitRequired · 23/04/2021 19:51

"Help me Dot...before it's too late!" Ethel in Eastenders to Dot. I still remember this scene from when I was a teen!

alloutofcareunits · 23/04/2021 19:51

@Harryo it was so awful, not much reduces me to tears but this did. ER was so well done, I remember being so shocked when Gant died too

Lolly34h · 23/04/2021 19:52

Bobby. Sons of anarchy. Closely followed by opie sons of anarchy. Both so unexpected and unbelievable. Still devastating to me

MrsSteveMcDonald · 23/04/2021 19:52

There was an episode in Grey's Anatomy where there was a man and a woman stuck together and they could only save the bloke, that had me in bits as they explained to her she wouldn't make it. Meredith working on her and nobody helping 🥺

Usernamenotavailabletryanother · 23/04/2021 19:53

Avril and Lawrence were wiped out on the motorway by some drug crazed hippies in a transit. Their mini didn’t stand a chance...

NotquitewhatImeant · 23/04/2021 19:55

@ChaBishkoot - I was going to say the deep fat fryer death in spooks. Still pops into my head every now again and I shudder.

A bit niche but NCIS LA and the death of Harley Hidoko. Awful.

MrsSteveMcDonald · 23/04/2021 19:55

Can't remember his name, in either Casualty or Holby. Bloke in late teens/early 20s (I am terrible with ages) who was a trainee nurse I think. In a car accident and was trapped. Bled out when the metal that was trapping the passenger was removed

I found the ending of Dexter sad and I cried.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/04/2021 19:55

Sadly in a cruel twist of fate the actress who played Meg in home and away died of Brain Cancer at 43.

Neighbours copied and Sonya and died in the same scene set up as Meg.

daisyducky · 23/04/2021 19:56

Rachel in cold feet. I was in tears for an hour

Idbemonica1 · 23/04/2021 19:56

Dr Green on Er. Everytime.
