I love damson jam 😋 My absolute favourite as I love the tanginess. I don't have a particular preference of brand but I have bonne maman at the moment.

Homemade greengage jam. Perfect jammy heaven!

CatCup · 16/04/2021 19:53

Tesco finest, raspberry, cold! Yum.

PissTestRightNowDaniella · 16/04/2021 19:55

The Co Op do a Finest sort of range, their raspberry jam is better than Bonne Maman to my mind

Rhubarb and ginger or blackberry and apple. Needs to be homemade and tbh neither has tasted exactly right since DM is no longer about to make them.

Hairbrush123 · 16/04/2021 19:57

I really love the raspberry and elderflower jam you can purchase from the Eden Project! It’s so lovely albeit bitty. Highly recommend!

nocoolnamesleft · 16/04/2021 20:01

Another vote for Bracken Hill jams. Gorgeous. Their bilberry jam is died and gone to heaven.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 16/04/2021 20:03

Quince and gooseberry.

QueenieMum · 16/04/2021 20:04

Pear and ginger is my all time favourite

schroeder · 16/04/2021 20:08

Pearl is a good shout. Grin
My Nan's Straw or goosegog are sadly no longer available.
db's mil makes fantastic mirabelle jam. Picked from her private estate!
Jam from the shop is usually raspberry, apricot or blackcurrant.

I am enjoying this thread more than I would ever have expected Grin

Also very interested in the Bonne Maman advent calendar - what a brilliant idea.

I do tend to stick to raspberry (seeded), although I've had Bonne Maman rhubarb which was nice, and do love a dark cherry jam, especially on toasted soda bread (with a thick spread of butter, naturally). Mmmmm

peanutbutterjimjams · 16/04/2021 20:09

My mum used to make an incredible five fruit jam. I have noooo idea what the five fruits were though.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 16/04/2021 20:12

This is such a Nana thread Grin apart from certain bad influences who let the thread down, and let me down, but most importantly, they let themselves down.

Anyway, DH once made a green tomato jam, which was delicious.

JuneFromBethesda · 16/04/2021 20:15

Oooooh Bracken Hill have lots of amazing flavours. I like the sound of raspberry and rhubarb, fig, gooseberry, blueberry and lime, ginger, gooseberry lime and ginger, rhubarb and gooseberry, raspberry mango and apple ... wow.

Grapesoda7 · 16/04/2021 20:18

Seedless raspberry although I do like apricot, it's just a bit lumpy.

bluechameleon · 16/04/2021 20:19

Blackcurrant. Or blueberry. Or bramble jelly. I obviously like the purple ones.

SirPhillipsgroupie · 16/04/2021 20:23

I had a fig jam in a french cafe once but never seen it for sale. It was divine. I do like a black currant, too.

AnExcellentWalker · 16/04/2021 20:26

Bracken Hill wild blueberry & lavender.
Or, homemade quince jelly, if I can get enough of them. We moved last year & I’ve spotted lots of bushes growing wild locally & I have one in the garden so maybe it won’t be an issue any more.

ISpeakJive · 16/04/2021 20:29

Arazole (White Hawthorn) Jam.

It's amazing.

Thecatisboss · 16/04/2021 20:35

I make lots of jam though don't eat a lot nowadays as Ive stopped eating toast for breakfast.

I agree with damson as that's my favourite too, though DH likes blackcurrant and homemade marmalade and DD likes strawberry and gooseberry (though tends to pick lumps out which are actually strawberries!)

UCOinanOCG · 16/04/2021 20:41

My gran made the best jam. I can't decide between her plum, gooseberry or rhubarb and ginger. All were epic. And her Apple and bramble jelly.

Lordamighty · 16/04/2021 21:05

Bone Maman advent calendar? I definitely want one of those this year.

Ohpulltheotherone · 16/04/2021 21:07

Black Cherry
blackberry not black currant!
Morello cherry
Apricot
Plum
Actually probably all of them

Lordamighty · 16/04/2021 21:07

Bonne not Bone, damn autocorrect.

Horehound · 16/04/2021 21:08

Got to be rhubarb jam here :)

Etherealhedgehog · 16/04/2021 21:11

Definitely apricot
