I love damson jam 😋 My absolute favourite as I love the tanginess. I don't have a particular preference of brand but I have bonne maman at the moment.

Raspberry with seeds.

Wallabyone · 16/04/2021 12:46

I love apricot, especially with halloumi or cheese on buttered toast.

Strawberry for scones!

Kenneldogsrock · 16/04/2021 12:49

Damson here too! I love it and my friend had a great damson tree from which my mum made loads of it.

I also love wild blueberry Bonne Maman

Crab Apple jelly, make it myself. You can sometimes find on a WI stall or at a church fete. Divine.

Commercial jam, the cherry one from Lidl is nice.

Crispina · 16/04/2021 19:17

I want to try the bonne maman advent calendar

Black Cherry or morello cherry. Tastes like Jam Shed Shiraz too

Howsonetoknow · 16/04/2021 19:21

Home made blackberry and apple. My grandma used to make it from the fruit she grew in her garden. Will never find a good enough one to replace it Sad

If we are talking shop bought then Waitrose morello cherry is divine, especially on a warm croissant -with equal amounts butter and jam-

GreenSlide · 16/04/2021 19:23

I'm more of a marmalade person. Bought some lemon and lime today.

RusholmeRuffian · 16/04/2021 19:24

Prickly Pear. Bright pink and delicious!

ChocOrange1 · 16/04/2021 19:25

A local cafe makes their own jam and are well known for their "high dumpsy dearie" jam. I think its a mixture of apple, pear and plum but in any case its delicious.

Alternatively, apricot jam or ginger preserve.

ParkheadParadise · 16/04/2021 19:27

Raspberry Seedless

MotherWol · 16/04/2021 19:28

Usually we have homemade blackberry, often with vanilla or bay leaf. Lidl cherry jam is gorgeous, as is Tiptree wild blueberry. I’ve got a jar of London Borough of Jam chuckleberry waiting for once my gestational diabetes has passed and I’m dreaming of slathering croissants and toast with it!

Oldraver · 16/04/2021 19:29

Tip tree Morello Cherry, Morrison's cherry

.Apricot, Bon Maman intense is lovely

BillMasheen · 16/04/2021 19:32

@ShirleyPhallus

I’d say Pearl
This deserves more attention
Tartyflette · 16/04/2021 19:33

We had an old fashioned wild plum (bullace) tree in the garden and it makes the most amazing tart/sweet jam of a beautiful golden/amber colour.
We also had a morello cherry tree, the fruit is very tart but makes glorious jam.

TrainTraining · 16/04/2021 19:35

I love all the jams except for strawberry which ought to be banished from existence. But apricot with a almond croissant or damson on hot buttered toast and a decent raspberry with scones and cream is always a winner for me.

Beamur · 16/04/2021 19:37

Bullace jam is excellent and really easy to make.
Damson/plum would be my favourite. Although I have made an excellent raspberry one year. Currently eating a delicious strawberry jam made by DH's ex wife Grin

Sgtmajormummy · 16/04/2021 19:40

The organic raspberry by these guys. Just as good as coulis over vanilla ice cream.

Plum
Rhubarb
Both need to be home made.

aibutohavethisusername · 16/04/2021 19:40

Bonne Maman strawberry with the lower sugar or damson.

ShirleyPhallus · 16/04/2021 19:41

MadisonMontgomery · 16/04/2021 19:42

Any homemade, particularly raspberry - I am very sad our WVS shop is closed due to the pandemic, I always used to buy jam from them 😭

DramaAlpaca · 16/04/2021 19:44

IKEA's blueberry and raspberry jam is my favourite.

onlyhereforthefood · 16/04/2021 19:46

I love black cherry jam

Or apricot

Or bramble jelly

StColumbofNavron · 16/04/2021 19:48

This is a discussion I could have forever.

First and foremost, it is strawberry jam made Turkish style which is runny (and preferably homemade).

Outside this, my preference is for apricot jam which I think Bonne Maman do well and their strawberry is nice.

For a treat I will go quince jam and rose jam. Both in Turkish form (again runny) and the quince isn’t like the sort of quince jelly you put with cheese - but I do eat all jam with cheese on toast so, you know, it’s probably fine.
