What's the funniest name you've heard of for a family pet?

A friend told me today that they've finally named their new Shih tzu puppy who they got a week ago. He's gorgeous and fluffy and they've chosen the name Monkey! I know it's none of my business but I really don't think that name suits him and it sounds a little bit silly... but it's kinda cute at the sane time I guess!

We had a white German shepherd named Gandalf. He was the most gentle dog ever and gorgeous.

I’ve had cats called Titania and Oberon. One called Beethoven. @TinySongstress he is lovely. You need to let me look after him for a while to see if he is suitable for you to keep.

I met a spaniel named Lobster a few months ago

Cats names-

Dumpling(was very round as a kitten)

Someone we knew inherited a cat named minge.they tried change it to tinge/cringe.damn cat was having none of it.it answers to mange,by at vets it's called "sooty"

A goldfish in the 70’s called Reginald Bosanquet after the newsreader. He lived for several years.

I know someone with a cat called mouse. Her other pete are named as other various random animals.

A colleague of mine has an asthmatic chicken.
It's called Louise (emphasis on the "wheeze")

Oh and I forgot about our male cat called Sheba. He was huge and muscular.

We were told he was a she when we adopted him, but by the time we found out his name had already stuck

We had chickens- ‘Shelley’ bassey- Brenda,babs and bubbles.Hamsters Ivana & Tinkle-after the long running joke in the simpsons where the bar owner gets a phone all and has to shout out in the bar-anyone here called Ivana?Ivana Tinkle? 😂 v silly but the hamsters suited their names

We have 2 cats called trinity and neo. Referred to as the matrix cats at the vets.
And a tortoise called sir Clovis

We had 2 Russian dwarf hamsters that the kids named Boris and Oleg

My fish have been David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Donald Trump. The theory being that if you name them after people you like, they die! If you name them after people you don’t like, they live forever. David died just after the Europe referendum, Donald is going strong.

Oh,Donald was Boris for a while!

Aged 6, I insisted on calling my goldfish Orange Balls.
