To irrationally HATE this word...

Delicious. I fucking hate it man, it irritates the life out of me. I could literally put my fist through a brick wall when people say it, especially if they emphasise on the L. Awful, ugly word that should be banned from the planet forever.

Any words out there that make anyone rage? I believe moist is quite unpopular. But nothing tops the D word for me! :-)

My mum saying "beauts" - "hello beauts", "that's beauts" makes me shudder with rage - she's in her sixties ffs I don't know who she's trying to impress!! Also the word "lush" 🤮

Moonlight22 · 03/04/2021 17:10

MIL says hello Duddin to her son instead of hello darling.I don’t know about putting my fist through a wall, I could put her flaming HEAD through it!!!

When describing food - creamy, garlicky, flavourful.

The first two, it think it just winds me up when you’re having an idle conversation and instead of saying ‘we’re having steak with garlic and cream sauce’ it has to be described as ‘creamy and garlicky’. Petty? Yes. Also I don’t like the way garlicky looks. Nor panicky for the same reason.

‘Flavourful’ just fills me with indescribable rage for no reason whatsoever.

queenofthelamas · 03/04/2021 17:16

The word lush is just horrible. I also hate hun

DramaAlpaca · 03/04/2021 17:20

Flavourful is my pet hate too. And it's in every sodding cookery programme on TV these days, often more than once!

Concur gives me irrational feelings of rage.

I find delicious fine when used to describe food, but I can't stand it in any other context. I'm in a few craft based Facebook groups and I'm seeing it used more and more often to describe yarn or fabric. "Just bought this simply delicious mohair yarn" ^ ^ cringe cringe cringe
GojiberryStar · 03/04/2021 17:54

Wine O clock

Fizz/ bubbles. Say what you mean for fucks sake

Anything relating to gin. It irrationally annoys me because I've been enjoying it for years before it's become all trendy.

Stinkywizzleteets · 03/04/2021 17:54

It’s ramekin for me.

No reason but it does my head in

Terrysmyorange · 03/04/2021 17:55

Delish

Babyroobs · 03/04/2021 17:56

I hate the word 'belly'. Absolutely hate it.

Ellieboolou33 · 03/04/2021 17:56

Supper is a word that should be banned IMO
