Floor plan!

TheSeventeenth · 27/03/2021 17:23

It looks like a house my five year old would think is a dream come true.

CatherinedeBourgh · 27/03/2021 17:26

It made me smile too. It looks like a lovely place for children.

katy1213 · 27/03/2021 17:26

Can you vacuum Astroturf?

viques · 27/03/2021 17:28

@Sstrongtn

My kids would have a field day in there, I’d never catch the feral buggers.

It’s amazing and insane, but it’s Scunthorpe, hence cheap.

Would be a good investment for a HMO.

It does talk about wildlife in the grounds! Grin

Make sure they wear life jackets at all times though, there’s a lot of water around that property.

transformandriseup · 27/03/2021 17:30

It reminds me of a house from The Sims

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/03/2021 17:31

No floorplan :( The floorplans are my favourite part.

2bazookas · 27/03/2021 17:31

Flood risk, 17 bedrooms, floodrisk, tiny kitchen, floodrisk , terrible decor, and did I mention flood risk
No thanks.

Jessbow · 27/03/2021 17:32

This house was originally built as the Tide Race Hotel and restaurant and was later used as a residential care/nursing home.

sunflowersandbuttercups · 27/03/2021 17:32

I really like it.

It would be awesome as a multi-generational home. Loads of space and plenty for the kids to do.

I also want a trampoline room Grin

AliceMcK · 27/03/2021 17:35

Some of the decor is a bit 😬 especially the mounted bull’s mirrored head in the bathroom. But other than that I could definitely like it. The indoor trampoline & games room is fantastic (minus the chandeliers). I think I could even put up living near Scunthorpe for a big house like that 😂

thriftyhen · 27/03/2021 17:38

Bizarre! Huge amount of space, though. I can't quite get over the trampoline in the hall! My main worry would be that it might flood.

Longdistance · 27/03/2021 17:40

Yes, the river and flooding. I can’t find my dh and dc in our 4 bed detached, fuck knows how I’d find them in that house.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/03/2021 17:41

Why is there an outside tap & a bucket in the pink & bull head bathroom?

GenderApostate19 · 27/03/2021 17:44

There is nothing I hate more than white/grey marble bathrooms - it’s like a mausoleum.

expectopelargonium · 27/03/2021 17:47

It's a bit near that river.

Sansaplans · 27/03/2021 17:47

Why is it so cheap?

chaosmaker · 27/03/2021 17:54

I don't get why (not in that listing) there is a need to have a sofa in the kitchen and a dining room somewhere else. Or even worse, the entire bottom floor being hollowed out and it being one big kitchen, living, diner thing with bifold doors. What is that about? Less privacy for sure

As for that house I'm looking with partner and have seen some mad extremes in housing.

mathanxiety · 27/03/2021 17:59

It's ghastly.

thenightsky · 27/03/2021 18:03

I've been past that house many a time with Scunthorpe running club. Its miles out of Scunny. More East Butterwick/Susworth way, which are lovely pretty villages.

The flooding can be awful though, we've had to turn back a few times when driving out to eat at the pub in Susworth due to the roads being closed.

RedToothBrush · 27/03/2021 18:04

All I saw were trampolines in a room with balconies above...

sunflowersandbuttercups · 27/03/2021 18:05

@Sansaplans

Why is it so cheap?
Location. Plus it looks very close to a river - flooding could be an issue.
Arrowheart · 27/03/2021 18:05

I LOVE it!

3peassuit · 27/03/2021 18:07

That’s a lot of house for the money.
