What song makes you cry?

I was driving to work yesterday and Caledonia came on my radio. I arrive at work absolutely bawling! That song gets me every single time, I’ll be ok for the first few bars then I can’t hold back the tears. I also used to find Tears in Heaven a guarantee of tears but haven’t listened to that in a while.
Wondering what other songs people find have the same effect on them.

Cats the musical, Memories (reminds me of a family funeral).
Somewhere over the rainbow (song in my head after ERPC after molar pregnancy).

@MarieIVanArkleStinks

I find many songs by a little-known and much under-rated York band called Mostly Autumn affect me this way. Top of the list are three songs called 'Evergreen', 'Mother Nature' and 'The Gap is too Wide'. Another is Pearl Jam's beautifully poignant 'Black'.

My mum and I always loved classical and listened to it together. The song in 'Carmen' sung by Don Jose to his dying mother', 'ma mere' makes me blurb like a baby, reminds me so much of her. Likewise 'Once in Royal David's City', because it was her favourite. She also loved Cyndi Lauper's 'Time after time', which was played at her funeral.

Off for a Kleenex ... 😭

Mostly Autumn are great, can’t believe I’ve met another fan! Have you tried Karnataka? The Storm gets me every time also Moment in Time.

Man of the world by fleetwood Mac. Really sums up loneliness
Yes. Peter Green did an acoustic version later with Splinter Group. It said everything.
happypuppymummy · 27/03/2021 00:38

@Iwantcollarbones yes yes to One More Try, also A Different Corner, and I'm not really a George Michael fan!

And another vote for Abba, Slipping Through My Fingers. In a similar vein is Sara Evans, Always Be My Baby

Cheesypea · 27/03/2021 00:42

The story of the blues by wah. Reminds me of my mum and her strength- dont let the bastards grind you down.

mktennisgirl · 27/03/2021 00:55

Ed Sherran and Andreas Bocellii - Perfect symphony ... I can not put into words the emotions and memories this song brings me. It is a beautiful song.

Not very pc these days but Two Little Boys - Rolf Harris
Not long ago I was going through a rough time and felt really low. A friend sent me a lovely text message to cheer me up and I replied thanking him, saying it meant a lot, he replied with "Did you think I would leave you crying when there's room in my phone for two?" ... that made me bawl x
