This isn't far from my house! Would never have guessed what the inside looks like

AnneShirleysNewDress · 21/03/2021 17:07

What's with the hand on the left hand side of the bar picture

Matrottinetteelectrique · 21/03/2021 17:08

Actually, I like it!

RoseMartha · 21/03/2021 17:08

They might need to remove a few of their personal items and store in the garage or something in order to sell it.

winnieanddaisy · 21/03/2021 17:09

For such a large house its badly laid out and some of the bedrooms are no bigger than cupboards.

TillyTopper · 21/03/2021 17:09

Whoever has done that has made a very thorough job of the styling! Every single room, I've rarely seen such awfulness so widespread!

Mummyozzi · 21/03/2021 17:11

As an Australian, I saw it from outside and thought. what an English, character delight...

Statue of liberty Grin and the motorbike in lounge.

Worst thing is I think those mannequins were brought into sell it so the lady of the house can better imagine herself in it.

Great find/post op

Hope someone buys it and feels it with (real) antiques and tartan or at the very least some subdued ikea pieces.

HarrietSchulenberg · 21/03/2021 17:12

That looks very much like my old landlord's house. Rented hundreds of cheap, damp, dodgy houses to students in the 80s and 90s. Had to go to his house in Alwoodley to collect keys as he'd only given us 1 set between 6 of us and his decor was horribly similar to that.

Bahahaha yes at least they've been consistent.
BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 21/03/2021 17:12

@Tisforptarmigan

Just noticed it's got a 'plant room'. Wtf. 😂
‘Plant room’ just means where all the pipes, boxes and electronic gubbins for the boiler, heating, electrics and all that are kept.
mam0918 · 21/03/2021 17:13

I love it, would have it in a heartbeat if I wasnt poor lol.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 21/03/2021 17:13

Heh heh heh Grin

Just showed it to my DP.

We're Goths, so yeah, skulls etc.

Paint it all black and we'd move in tomorrow lol!!!

Tessateacup · 21/03/2021 17:14

😂 picture 10. A few years ago i saw an interview with a computer engineer who lived with his collection of mannequins...Maybe the house owner is related to this man?

whatchathinkaboutthat · 21/03/2021 17:14

@Arrowheart

The skeleton is probably the estate agent waiting for it to sell.
Stoppppppp 😂😂😂
missbridgerton · 21/03/2021 17:16

It looks like the owner has done a trolley dash in Homesense.

Repeatedly.

This needs a trigger warning, OP Grin

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 21/03/2021 17:16

Stunning property - and it's near Leeds too - I wonder if the vendor might be Andrew Eldritch?

In which case I'd snap it up but only if he came with the purchase price Grin

Lockheart · 21/03/2021 17:16

Of course there's a tanning booth.

Mn753 · 21/03/2021 17:16

They're sex people Lynne

MadinMarch · 21/03/2021 17:16

Well it's not Downton Abbey...

Blacktothepink · 21/03/2021 17:17

🥴

WaspRelatedEmergency · 21/03/2021 17:17

I love the estate agents literary based description.
"* A PROPERTY 'THE GREAT MR GATSBY' WOULD BE PROUD TO CALL HOME ! * **"
Asterisks and exclamation marks so you know the house must be good.

StanfordPines · 21/03/2021 17:18

It’s where the boiler and electrical stuff is. Nothing to do with plants.
Whatamesssss · 21/03/2021 17:18

This house has been up for sale before, another MNer linked with a similar wtf is this thread.

Alas, it still hasn't sold.
