Oh god, I did this last weekend, to a branch with a sushi counter. DD (3) and I bought sushi, juice and YoYos and sat in the sun to eat. By current standards it was practically a week in Majorca.

I went yesterday. I revelled in the Easter section, had a nice chat with a chap stacking shelves who gave me his recipe for roasted cashews, bought a very nice lamb shoulder slow roasted for lunch today. All-in-all, a successful outing!

Look for the chocolate pomegranates for easter!

I went into the town centre today for the first time for ages, bought some v nice food from local independent shops, and felt like I’d had a proper day out. It was lovely!

Ours has loads of offers and reduced stuff at the mo do I keep grabbing big delicious roasting joints for the freezer :D

You need some fancy cheese. We're into camembert au pair cru at the mo.

It's my favourite "day trip" ever. I make sure I leave DS and DH at home and I spend literally hours looking at every single thing on every single shelf in every single aisle.

It's a dangerous place to go though. I've often popped in for just a couple of things and hey presto, an hour later I leave the shop £150 lighter. 🙈

Their lemon and lime drizzle cake is gorgeous.

Better than that, went to M&S for Mother's Day goodies, and came out with half price leather boots too

I 'treated' myself to a trip to B+M today. It was horrible. So busy you would think it was Xmas Eve.

Duchy Original chocolate covered ginger biscuits are lovely - I made my first online Waitrose order a few weeks ago and they gave me those, a bar of chocolate and a bottle of wine as a "welcome" gift.

The Easter chocolate avocado if they are doing it this year.

Waitrose things I go there specially to buy:

• Essential rinse aid
• Waitrose 1 cheese - all of it but especially the Chaource

• Nice looking seasonal fruit/veg
• Organic pork and beef meatballs

Huge queue today when we drove past ours! That'll just add to the day out fun though

I like their frangipane tarts, not sure if the name but you get four in a box and think almond slices on top

I have a secret weapon, which is insomnia Will be there for 8, so I'm hoping it'll be nice and quiet.

Won't it open at 10 as its Sunday ? Guess you could take a book and a flask and just read for a couple of hours before it opens

Bix cheese, fig and sandalwood purple own brand bubble bath, citrus and ginger cleaning spray, balsamic glaze and somehow another 60odd quid of stuff. And an Easter egg. But that'll just be 2 bags. And the waitrose Weekender for the crossword. Can I come?

Ooh, and pretty much the whole Crosta e Mollica bread range, esp the large slices for bruschetta and the flat breads - you put those in a dry frying pan for a couple of minutes and they fluff up soft and beautiful. The fig jam is amazing too.
