Which party would you vote for if there was an election today?

And why?

I don't feel represented by any UK party, even the smaller ones.

The only ones that stand up for women's rights are the Tory's. However, as a working class Northener, I just couldn't vote for them.

I think I'd spoil my ballot. Sad

Conservative. Because there aren't any other votable parties.

Strangekindofwoman · 13/03/2021 00:36

Fuck knows. Always been a labour voter but KS just no. As for voting Tory for womens rights. I'm not about to throw women under the bus for the Tories pretending to give a fuck.

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 13/03/2021 00:36

Unfortunately even in the pandemic- the constitution still dominates the debate

Yes, I wish the Scottish Conservatives would shut up about Indi Ref 2 and get on with the day job. Who knows, they might even manage to come up with a policy. Just one would be a start.

Labour.

ilovesooty · 13/03/2021 01:11

@LuluJakey1

Labour. I can not believe anyone would vote Tory after what we have seen from this government.
Agreed.
LemonSwan · 13/03/2021 01:13

I am part of the swing. I have voted with the majority in every single election in my living life. I should really start putting money on it tbh.

I would vote conservative. And no I dont like them but every one else is speaking a different language and better the devil you know.

kelpie35 · 13/03/2021 01:17

Conservative for me.

No way would i vote SNP

giggly · 13/03/2021 01:21

SNP as despite the recent hate bill
I believe that they have Scotland’s best interest at heart. No credible labour leader and.

How anyone could even consider a Tory vote is beyond belief.

MumofWombat · 13/03/2021 01:24

We have an election today in Western Australia.
I voted Labor. It was a very easy decision, WA’s economy is the best in the world at the moment, our premier made tough decisions and stuck to them throughout the pandemic which undoubtedly saved lives (WA lost 9 lives to Covid) and jobs. My local MP works very hard for our area. The opposition admitted they know they won’t win about a week ago!

MsSavouryPancake · 13/03/2021 01:36

Would spoil my ballot . Have always voted Labour . No chance I would now . Couldn't vote for any of the others

Impatiens · 13/03/2021 01:53

I'd be completely stuck - I despise Johnson, Gove, Rees-Mogg and the rest of the creeps but Labour are no good for Women and even apart from that I just don't trust them any more. Lib Dems and Greens have lost their minds to trans activism.

I've always voted, I saw it as my civic duty, but now I've got no one to vote for.

Marchitectmummy · 13/03/2021 02:19

Conservative, I actually think under the circumstances they have done ok. Brevit and Covid together, dealing with one would be incredibly tricky. The chancellor has been great and done the best to minimise monetary disasters. The approach to paying back the countries debt I also appreciate aiming at the large amount of comfortable in thr UK is exactly the right strategy I think. Rocking any of that at the moment would be a huge mistake.

onlychildandhamster · 13/03/2021 02:25

Labour. Live in London but in safe Tory seat.

I used to vote lib dem/green but vote labour when there is a decent labour leader.

Donatella · 13/03/2021 07:27

I'm also torn. I live in a Tory safe seat and can't stand our MP, but overall as a party I'd be OK with voting Tory for the first time in my life. I know they have made some mistakes in their handling of things but I can see why they made the decisions they did, and in some ways the mistakes have humanised them a bit. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of financial help that was given to individuals and companies, at times it felt almost more like Labour policy and again that has eased my dislike of them. But whether I can bring myself to vote for our Tory MP I just don't know, I'd probably vote LibDem as usual.

Bmidreams · 13/03/2021 07:32

As a life long Labour voter, how can people vote Labour now? Serious question. Does Self ID not matter compared to their other policies? I'm stuck. Greens and Lib Dems believe in Self ID. Tories so far have voted against it. I will not vote Tory.

Pinchoftum · 13/03/2021 07:38

Labour because despite of self-ID there are other equally as pressing matters such as the sell off of the NHS and the increasing poverty that the Tories will worsen more than Labour.
Also Boris Johnson is a self serving narcissist and misogynist and should not be leading our country.

LST · 13/03/2021 07:57

God there are still people who'd vote fucking tory. Do you keep your brains in a jar?

MummyInTheNecropolis · 13/03/2021 07:58

Labour. Only because they’re the lesser of 2 evils, not because I actually feel represented by them in any way.

Redact · 13/03/2021 08:02

SNP

Teflondreams · 13/03/2021 08:02

Labour.

Tory’s are destroying the country and decimating the NHS. It is mind boggling anyone could vote for them after the past 10 years of chaos and destruction.

rosie1959 · 13/03/2021 08:02

Conservative

iluvpickles · 13/03/2021 08:03

Anyone but the snp.

Bordois · 13/03/2021 08:05

Last time round we had a MRLP candidate so I'd vote for them.

Pancake4life · 13/03/2021 08:06

Tory. I'm in NE England and around me most small businesses have been saved / benefitted from the grants. lots of upgrade work being done, vaccine rollout going great, housing market booming etcetera, so I'm not convinced Labour would have done any better.

thewooster · 13/03/2021 08:26

Tory
