Favourite part of a roast dinner

For me it's stuffing. Followed closely by Yorkshire pudding.

My ideal roast dinner is 80% stuffing and puds in gravy, 20% meat and veg

What's your favourite part of a roast dinner?

I'm gobsmacked that the universal answer wouldn't be roast potatoes?!

Jellifer · 09/03/2021 19:12

Roast potatoes.... I could eat ALL of them.

2beesornot2beesthatisthehoney · 09/03/2021 19:12

The chicken soup, the following day or the carrot and parsnip mashed

Roast potatoes are so overrated.

PrincessesRUs · 09/03/2021 19:16

Potatoes are massively overrated - stuffing balls with gravy and apple sauce

TheGriffle · 09/03/2021 19:17

Roast potatoes. Best thing ever when they’re done right. I could just eat them, gravy and mint sauce.

Watto1 · 09/03/2021 19:18

Roast potatoes, then gravy, then stuffing. Feeling hungry now!

tobee · 09/03/2021 19:19

It cannot be divided. It is a whole entity WinkGrin

wonderstuff · 09/03/2021 19:19

Roast potatoes and gravy. Obviously.

breadfortea · 09/03/2021 19:20

The chicken skin, and all the sticky meat juices left in the pan that are suppose to go in the gravy but I snuffle up with a chunk of bread .

52andblue · 09/03/2021 19:21

ALL the veggies!
Steamed carrots, parsnips, cabbage, sprouts, peas, red cabbage - yum.
My two kids adore roast dinners so we have 1 on Sunday & 1 midweek.
And of course stuffing and gravy :)

WeWentToTheAnimalFair · 09/03/2021 19:22

Tons of vegetables and thick gravy.. followed closely by stuffing and the meat.

shivermetimbers77 · 09/03/2021 19:22

Roast potatoes.. but only with gravy and either mustard or horseradish sauce to give it some oomph

icebearforpresident · 09/03/2021 19:22

Roast potatoes! The more burnt the better.

lightningpeach · 09/03/2021 19:23

Yorkshire puds with gravy for me

Lochmorlich · 09/03/2021 19:24

Roast potatoes.
Also love dipping bread in the meat fat when its nearly cooked. Me and ddog share a slice, so yummy.

NigellaSeed · 09/03/2021 19:25

Roast potatoes give me hiccups and they are too filling, less room for more food Grin

sunflowersandbuttercups · 09/03/2021 19:28

Roast potatoes, 100%

I often just cook a trayful of them and nothing else Grin

mbosnz · 09/03/2021 19:29

Roast kumara/sweet potato.

CandidaAlbicans2 · 09/03/2021 19:29

Yorkshires (but only with gravy, closely followed by roast spuds (but only with gravy).

nocoolnamesleft · 09/03/2021 19:30

Roasties. Lots of lovely roasties.

QuidditchQueen · 09/03/2021 19:30

Potatoes

nocoolnamesleft · 09/03/2021 19:30

Though you do need a good gravy to tie it all together...

BeesAnkles · 09/03/2021 19:31

Gravy! I could drink the stuff.

potter5 · 09/03/2021 19:31
